Prediction. Scott Brown Wins MA Senate

yah well tell that to the pissed of southies who voted dem there whole life only to have there lucky strikes taxed up to $7.50 a pack this past year.

just curious... is that an exaggeration or is the tax really that high? Cause if it is real... it equates to work and 1.5 hours ... have enough money for a pack... if you are minimum wage.

Those Micks won't care since they're promised free health care that will stick it to all the Jew doctors in Newton.

they already get free healthcare with the new state plan if they are under x $$ income... so the micks dont give a flying fuck.. All they know is it costs them half a welfare check a week to buy dr mcgillicuddy's and smokes. But reality is they aint gonna vote cause they are not charged up at all with coakley.

But but but MassCare can't survive since they're an itty bitty state and the New York Yankees will send up all those blacks from Harlem up to Mass General, the most prestigious hospital in the world, for treatment.

And because they were taught that Old Joe Kennedy was God, sticking it to the feds for prohibition, Rose was a virgin when she gave birth to the seconding coming, JFK. :palm:

Do the Micks in Southie still pave over their front yards for parking, and paint the asphalt green?

Moderates don't sponsor bills that allow medical practitioners to refuse to provide rape victims with emergency contraception. Sorry Chap, that "moderate" nonsense doesn't fly.

The concern was that catholic nurses/dr didnt want it to be mandatory to give patients morning after pill. Browns answer was to allow them a loophole on religious grounds. Marthas answer to that was religious people shouldnt be workign in an emergency room.. At the end of the day brown still voted for it so he IS pro choice.

Just imagine the Dixie post if this actually happens. We should start a pool on the # of paragraphs & references to "hope & change."

Still think Coakley wins by close to 10 though....

Brown sponsored it. He didn't just vote for it. And there are all sorts of existing regulations in federal and state law that protect people for their religious beliefs. Not surprisingly, the Bush Administration changed the law similarly through regulation (since reversed by Obama).

And there's a reason Brown was endorsed by the Mass Right to Life PAC. It isn't because he's a pro-choice moderate.

He still voted for it. He is no threat to pro choice people. From all that I can see it was a poor attempt to protect conscientious objectors rights considering the state we are talking about.

Chap - The leadership of the Republicans spoke out against his amendment and his endorsement as a "pro-life vote" (which he hasn't disavowed) belies your claims that he is no threat to pro-choice people.

You are Exhibit A as to why negative ads are necessary, Brown lies about his record and runs away from it rather than on it.

Normally, a right to life PAC wouldn't endorse either of two pro-choice candidates and would simply abstain. Here, they endorsed Brown because he is "a pro-life vote in the Senate."
Normally, a PAC is pragmatic and endorses the candidate that best fits their agenda.

Did you expect them to endorse Coakley?

Obama keeps his distance from Mass. race

Coming off stinging election losses in Virginia and New Jersey -- not to mention Copenhagen, where he failed to win the 2016 Olympics for his hometown of Chicago -- President Obama is staying away from what could become another painful loss.

Even though the campaign of Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley has been making quiet entreaties, the president has no plans to visit her in the last week of the special election to fill the Senate seat once held by the late Edward M. Kennedy.

"It's not on our schedule to go to next week," White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said matter-of-factly.

On Thursday, Mr. Obama cut a video for the Democrat. "Its clear now that the outcome of these and other fights will probably rest on one vote in the United States Senate, Mr. Obama said in the message. "Thats why what happens Tuesday in Massachusetts is so important."

But not quite important enough for a presidential visit.

Does not want to be tied to a loser, his numbers are already low enough.

he still voted for it. more then any religious right would do. that makes him moderate compared to other republicans down south.

Regardless he has/will have no effect on the abortion issues. if he was running as the potential 60th vote of the senete and the republicans had a top secret abortion bill nobody knew anything about they were working on then it would be an issue.

Brown is a good potential presidential candidate for the pubs. Hes like a mitt romney but without the bad religion behind him. If he pulls an upset Tuesday I can easily see him running in primaries for president.

Chap's got a total man-crush. Jesus.

Nahh im just pumped that this state could possibly go to him. I voted for Obama and hes a bust so far... and i certainly am not in favor of some piss poor top secret healthcare plan. So for this liberal ass state to potentially put a knife in the plan amazes me. We never get the opportunity to make a difference on a national scale like this.
