Vice President Pence on Tuesday said President Trump has been given the "impression" that previous presidents wanted to build a U.S.-Mexico border wall, following claims from Trump that former presidents had told him that they wanted to build a wall.

Spokespeople for multiple former presidents, including former President Carter, Clinton and George W. Bush, in recent days have publicly denied that they had discussed the prospect of a border wall with Trump.

Pence did not say that the former presidents made the comments directly, but said that Trump has said that he had gotten the "impression" from former presidents that they wanted the barrier built and said that he has seen video clips of previous presidents "talking about" border security's importance.

"I know the president has said that that was his impression from previous administrations, previous presidents," Pence said during an interview on NBC's "Today Show" that aired on Tuesday.

Never sell these assholes short. They are determined to get dumber and dumber every day...

...and that is about the only thing they are succeeding at.
 
Amazing to even consider that Trump and his team actually think that Americans believe anything Trump says, other than his lemmings, Trump has next to zero credibility with the vast majority of Americans.

Tonight he is only addressing his base, Oval Office or not, most know he is going to lie, peddle the usual fabrications/exaggerations, and blame everything on the Democrats. He'll get a slight boost in his ratings, soon to be forgotten, and by Friday, most won't even remember what he said
 
They should have 'Pinocchios' pop up on the screen every time he tells a lie. That would be fun to watch. :)

I'm going to give his address the same consideration I did last nights National Championship game. I'm going to skip it and do something more informative...like read a comic book. That is unless I feel like I need a good laugh...then I might watch it.

I made it through Obama's 8 years having only heard one of his addresses in its entirety. I am hoping to do the same with Trump.
