Prayer in schools? Double standards?

You are such a moron. ANY child can pray in school. The school can not lead the prayer. Read the case law and quit with all the faux outrage.
 
I'd have no problem with allowing the same accommodation for any religion. Just so it's not led or encouraged by any govt employee. In my school we had a 10 min break in the am and again in the pm. You were free to do anything legal during the break, including praying.

A 10 min break for all students might be the best solution here.
 
I think that the students should have the right to pray if they wish. On their own time.How ever teachers and staff should NOT be allowed to lead prayers in class,or any other school required events.

There should be no policy that facilitates the practice of Islam in schools. They are free to practice their barbaric religion, but they should keep it to themselves.

I have no problem with or without, do long as it is applied equally.

Letting some students out of class during the school day while the rest of the kids stay in class is favoring ONE religion .....

Some states have passed laws that allow schools to “simply treat everyone the same way and not give exemptions or special accommodations for religious reasons.” Asked if Logan would have to accommodate any student who asked for class time off to pray, he said that any school district “would be wise to treat everyone the same way.” Arguing that Islam requires daily prayer as a reason to accommodate Muslims and not other students of other religions is ill advised, he said.
“And that’s one of the problems with accommodation, of course,” he said. “Once you start down that road then you really are in a bind.”
