If anything, finding out it has mannish proclivities reinforces that point.

background checks is a very broad thing. in a general sense, yes, many americans support them. I support them to some extent. What gungrabbers think of as a background check though means something entirely different. anyone that has ever seen a counselor can't get a gun, anyone that has a third counsin with anxiety can't get a gun, anyone that ever had a non-violent conviction can't get a gun. Or maybe you make background checks absurdly long and inconvenient. etc

You are being a little more than disingenuous here. Anyone who watches the show knows who they are and that they aren't poor hicks. I can't speak for all of the pictures, but the picture of Willie and his family is very old. You seem to be implying that they changed their appearance to coincide with the show. I know for a fact (because I have read all of their books and seen many family photos) that that is just not the case, particularly Phil.
