When it comes to the economy, sure. When it comes to things like their opposition to LGBT rights, women's rights, abortion, and religious minorities, no way.

What prevents them from being socialists? Nothing I can think of. No doubt, many of the Hitler fans amongst them probably think Hitler was a socialist since he led the German National *Socialist* party in the 30’s and 40’s. Sure, you can argue that they are misguided—but the point is their Hitler fans would likely consider themselves a kind of socialist since Hitler was.

I’ll *guarantee* you’d find strong support for the BDS movement amongst the Klansmen for example. What prevents them from being socialists? Nothing I can think of.
