The Roman Catholic Church was the world's first transnational corporation and called for the extermination of the indigenous peoples of the Americas in Papal Bulls of the 1500s.

And obviously for all the faux hand wringing, the american legal system allows them this leeway.

The US did the same with all the native kids they used to take away from families to send off to boarding schools, right up into the 70's. Did better at keeping that on the down low didn't we.
