Poor, poor Dems..Sniff, Sniff!

OK genius, so what wouid you have done differently? I'll be surprised if I get a straight answer but one lives in hope.

there are quite a few things that need to be done....but I believe the most significant problem is the fact that money has been flowing out of the US and not coming back.....

two immediate actions.....domestic energy production so that we aren't shipping billions of dollars a day out of the country....a tax amnesty so that all the money held by multinational corporations outside the US that they won't bring back in due to the corporate tax structure comes back home instead of being invested outside the US.....

those two actions alone would have flooded the US with money that wasn't manufactured out of thin air.....

They're all political hacks. Its so bizarre watching you lemmings take sides based on preconceived party affiliations.

I agree with all the political hacks, ya have them on both sides, I travel all over this country and like the real life opinions of the American people, lol, the polls don't even come close to what most Americans think of the Messiah, hell the brothers are no longer screaming it is our turn now, it is now at least he is trying, others just simple say he is a liar, but most wont even admit to voting for him . Ya get up in the New England states and people try to say they didn't vote for him, lol, yea right, Just read the bumper stickers on cars, if ya do see one in support of Obama it is either broke down on the side of the road or has someone driving it that doesn't know what the word work means, LOL, Obama is done IMO

All Obamas shit may look good on paper ( I don't think so but, lol) but in the real world he is sinking faster than the titanic , ooo well just reality LOL

Glad to hear it. But you're a republican before a conservative if you're happy for more of the same.

I am a republican, but have voted off ticket. I do work behind the scenes, albeit in a very small way, to help support strong conservative candidates, including libertarian's. Here in WA I supported Bob Barr, a libertarian, up until the General Election when it became obvious he had no chance. In looking back I regret that move. A protest vote would have been more effective, especially since I live in a very liberal state. What i mean by more effective is that the GOP has made it clear they are confused as to what the platform should be. We have a few elitists trying to tell us to look like fence sitting moderates...wrong message imo.

Going forward through the next 2 election cycles we will see a strong movement, imo, towards fiscal conservative ideas that will be roundly supported by a majority of Americans.

Dream on. My car has an Obama sticker, it's not broken down and I'm well-acquainted with work.

In the historic November 4, 2008 election victory that swept President Barack Obama into office, the Democratic Party increased it's majorities in both chambers of the US Congress.

The Democrats hold a sizable majority in the House of Representatives.

As of July 7, 2009, the Democrats officially hold a filibuster-proof supermajority, with the swearing in of Al Franken, Junior United States Senator from Minnesota.

The GOP is impotent and on it's way out.

OK genius, so what wouid you have done differently? I'll be surprised if I get a straight answer but one lives in hope.
1) Overloaded personal debt is a primary reason for the banking/housing crisis. It was the primary reason for the S&L crisis in the 80s. Yet this administration, like every administration before all the way back to FDR, is encouraging more personal debt. $4500 to trade in your old clunker and take up the debt on a $20,000 car. Good plan. (not) Give banks a load of money that does not exist in the hopes they lend it out to people, creating more personal debt. It's a false economy, and the primary reason we have so many fluctuations, dips, drops, and mini recessions. Time for it to end, and that means stop all federal programs that encourage growing personal debt.

2) Quit interfering with business. After a TON of money (that didn't exist) GM STILL went bankrupt. Their restructuring could have easily taken place, with fewer long term consequences, if they'd simply stayed out of it. Taken the money to support those put out of work until GM can get back on their feet. It would have been a hell of a lot cheaper, especially since federal programs will be supporting unemployment roles anyway.

3) Health care reform: finding new ways to pay for hyper-inflated health care costs (much of which is due to inefficient government regulations) is NOT reform. Rather than go the old, tired, problem-ridden government-subsidy method in place of the old, tired, economic darwinism method, how about a new approach that studies and addresses the factors that have driven health care costs at rates far higher than inflation can account for. Take care of the unacceptably high costs of care, and the rest will take care of itself with a much smaller medicare/medicaid program to assist those still in need.

4) GET THE HELL OUT OF IRAQ. Draw deployments down to 20% current levels and pull our forces back into an emergency-on-call force only. Time for the Iraqi forces to shit or get off the pot.

5) I would not be raising taxes on every damned thing that twitches. If naught else, just so the promise to not raise taxes on those making under $250,000 would not be quite the outright blatant up-the-ass lie Obama has made it into.

6) If the federal government is going to spend a ton of nonexistent money in business, let it be in a manner that brings manufacturing jobs back inside our borders. Penalize corporations that use too high a percentage of foreign labor. Reward those that use a high percentage of domestic labor.

That's just a few off the top of my head.

" I would not be raising taxes on every damned thing that twitches. "

That is embarassing hyperbole, and very dishonest.

And you have absolutely no idea whether or not the effect would be economically positive. You're just pulling shit out of your ass.

So your argument is basically

*insert irrelevant anecdotal details here that jeff made up*

Is that right?

Yeah LOL that's not what Obama's doing.

Everyone look the other way!
