Now I haven't started the first thread about Al Gore! I don't waste my time posting about someone who is politically insignificant. What is the point? When Bill Clinton was president, I posted all the time about Clinton and his policies, but once he left office, there was no need for me to post about Clinton. Yeah, I could keep a thread up everyday for the next 10 years, talking about what a deplorable president Clinton was, but I actually didn't think his fiscal domestic policies were that bad, and I said so. Once he was out of political power, and insignificant in American politics, it didn't matter if I gave him credit or bitched every day.
With Palin, I get your shtick! I understand what you are doing! You know that a grass-roots Palin campaign could spell danger for your ambitious liberal agenda, you've seen the crowds she draws, you've seen the polling data, and you know damn good and well, if you don't stop her, she will be political trouble. So you concoct this 'image' of Palin, and reinforce it at every opportunity, just to keep her in check... to ensure she isn't a future threat to your agenda. I completely understand what you are doing, and I can't say that I blame you, she does have the potential to set the political world on fire and change the game completely. What I detest is your LYING about it, and trying to implement this 'campaign of personal destruction', while maintaining she isn't important or significant. That defies any logic or reason, and there is nothing to make people believe you really aren't concerned with Palin, because your actions tell a totally different story.
