HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT/WKYT) - Authorities say a deadly shooting on the campus of Hazard Community and Technical College was likely a domestic situation that "just wound up in the parking lot of the community college."
Hazard Police tell us the victims who were killed are Caitlin Cornett, 20, & Jackie Cornett, 53.
The victim who was injured is a 17-year-old girl, who was not identified. Police say she was taken to U.K. Hospital by ambulance, because of weather conditions. At last check, the 17-year-old is still in critical condition.
Police say the shooter, 21-year-old Dalton Stidham turned himself in after the shooting. Officers tell us Stidham used a semi-automatic pistol in the shooting. Stidham is charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder. Police say a second suspect was also taken into custody, but only Stidham is believed to be the shooter.
