'Please don't kill me': Cop cleared of murder after shooting dead a sobbing father

Fucking asshole was power tripping, and scared. Had no business ever being a cop.

You've got multiple officers on scene, with one training a rifle on a suspect, lying face down with his hands on head, fingers interlaced. Once the woman was secured, one of the other officers could've approached the suspect, and cuffed him. Easy peezy. That was murder, period, end of story.

Man I'm so glad that JPP has so many members who have decided to join their local PD and make a difference.

Yep, I'm a huge supporter of the police.

I have friends who are cops, and retired cops, and I'm pretty sure they would agree that this was a bad shoot.

Ditto. Now I've only known a couple of cops well but the feeling I got was while they will generally back their police brethren they weren't afraid to call out the one's who weren't good or misbehaved. I think that's the same in most industries.

So you're pretty sure; but haven't bothered to make the inquiries, as of yet.

But then, you'll just say that they did agree with you; without a shred of supporting evidence. :good4u:

Exactly.

It's interesting, so many things get broken politically between left and right but not all of life is like that. I don't think being a conservative means cops can do no wrong. Like any large group there will always be some who shouldn't be there/aren't good at their job etc. This is one of those cases.

see, this is a problem that most people can't seem to grasp or comprehend. People tend to look at police officers as simply human beings doing a tough job, but that is not what they are. when they don that badge and uniform, they are the violent representatives of the government they work for and are no longer 'humans' in the respect that they are not held accountable for their actions, but indemnified by numerous government qualifications for release of responsibility. the sooner people look at them that way, the better off we'll be for fixing a broken system.

Look man, I haven't seen them today, and I'm not going to disturb their weekend with this bullshit. They are good cops, and it doesn't take an Einstein to see this guy was an asshole. There's no reason to behave in such an irresponsible manner, exacerbating an already tense situation. I'll ask them when I see them. I'm not sure why you feel the need to be so snarky. I support law enforcement, and I am allowed to have an opinion.
