He created the situation, when he decided to act like the idiot he apparently was.

Did the Police order him to drink or to do drugs?
Did he follow the Police orders?
 
Maybe its because they have to make split second decisions on life and death. Often times it is either them or the bad guy. That is why jury and judges tend to give them the benefit of the doubt.

We don't live in a liberal utopian where LE is right 100% of the time. We live in the real world, where hindsight is 20/20. Police do not have the luxury of hindsight, and their lives are on the line every day.

why do we bother spending hundreds of thousands of dollars anually to train them if we're not going to hold them to a higher standard? are you that forgiving of ALL government mistakes?

Yeah he was drunk and the police officer was issuing bizarre, complicated instructions. He probably lost his balance. Why didn't the police officer simply ask him to keep his arms raised while he put on cuffs? What's the whole deal with asking him to crawl towards them in a bizarre, specific manner? The police officer deserves the death penalty.

as a cop you have less than a second to react when someone goes for their waistband or you're dead. officers acted correctly and was adjudicated as such by a jury of his peers
