#pizzagate, what is it? Disturbing if true...

Jesus christ, how low can trumpers go with their ugly conspiracy theories? This is false false false. Don't you people ever do any research?

Claim: The 'Podesta e-mails' revealed the existence of a secret society of pedophiles operating through a pizza place loosely connected to Clinton associate David Brock.

FALSE

None of this elaborate conspiracy theory was true, as the New York Times noted:

None of it was true. While [Comet Ping Pong pizzeria owner James] Alefantis has some prominent Democratic friends in Washington and was a supporter of Mrs. Clinton, he has never met her, does not sell or abuse children, and is not being investigated by law enforcement for any of these claims. He and his 40 employees had unwittingly become real people caught in the middle of a storm of fake news.

“From this insane, fabricated conspiracy theory, we’ve come under constant assault,” said Mr. Alefantis, 42, who was once in a relationship with David Brock, a provocative former right-wing journalist who became an outspoken advocate for Mrs. Clinton.

Although the original "Pizzagate" post was deleted at some point between 4 and 21 November 2016, archived versions of it contained what appeared to be the original post in its entirety. (A subreddit dedicated to the controversy, r/pizzagate, was created in the interim.)

Several pages were linked to support the details of the claim (an e-mail in which David Brock was described as "batshit crazy" by Clinton associate Neera Tanden was among them) and the post primarily focused on Alefantis and his loose ties to the Clinton campaign via a former romantic relationship with David Brock of Media Matters for America.
Users tracked down Alefantis' purported Instagram account (since deleted or restricted), which they said hosted images of children, gay clubs, drugs, and generally "bizarre" or unsettling imagery:

However, the photographs that the Instagram account purportedly hosted were instead, apparently, taken from the pages of various people who "liked" the restaurant's page on Facebook...

Some of the photographs were apparently taken from random web sites...

Alefantis also said many of the photographs were of children of family and friends, not patrons of Comet Ping Pong...

the sad thing is internet hackers and random trolls are uncovering more things with weaponized autism than all the highly paid journalists in the nytimes and wapo.

You people are as dumb as stumps if you take this craziness at face value.

Some may have noticed the hashtag #Pizzagate around the Internet lately and aren’t sure what it’s all about. So, what is #Pizzagate? In the post that follows, I will summarize what #Pizzagate is, what’s been found so far, and whether or not you should be paying closer attention.

First off, forgive the length — quite a bit of context and explanation is required to do an explanation of the “#Pizzagate” phenomenon justice. Also, a disclaimer: In addition to being difficult to digest, much of the research into #Pizzagate is being conducted by web sleuths who supported Donald Trump for president. I only mention that because those with anti-Trump sentiments seem especially at risk for a knee-jerk rejection of the theories involved. However, keep in consideration that information gleaned by someone with a pro-Trump viewpoint does not necessarily invailidate the significance of the facts and connections uncovered. Forget their voting habits and other assumptions you may have about them for a moment, and just consider the following with an open mind so you’re equipped to judge it on its own merits.

Now, some necessary background.

As you likely know, Wikileaks published emails that were hacked from Hillary Clinton’s private email server, along with a huge series of email dumps from her campaign chairman John Podesta’s account. Podesta isn’t just a Clinton campaign chairman, he’s a long-time political operative rated as one of Washington’s most influential people.

Unsurprisingly, the majority of the contents from emails associated with the two leaks are mundane. But web sleuths on Reddit and 4Chan, two discussion board websites, found something strange buried within the email dumps: nonsensical references to pizza.

For a bit of context, Reddit is more “mainstream,” so to speak, while 4Chan is rather infamous for its reputation for being a stronghold for, among other things, the sharing of depraved and illegal content.

It was a very tough read. And it is hard to ignore some of the connections. The code words were disturbing as all get out. You want to think this is innocuous behavior, but it does paint a chilling tale.

One wonders what is really on Carlos Danger's laptop.

One thing is for certain and that is the Clintons do know an awful lot of pedophiles. Maybe there is something about the rich and powerful dominating young children that way? I am probably going to have nightmares from reading this. I will pray that it isn't true. As much as I despise the Clinton's I really don't want this to be true.

But, even if this stuff is true, I don't think it would ever come to light. You are talking about seriously rich and powerful people and it would be like the Cold War with mutually assured destruction. They would all have skin in the game to keep it from coming to the light of day. It will always be laughed off as "alt right" and "fake news" with a sprinkle of "Russia". Funny, I never heard of "alt right" until this election cycle. Then again, I never heard of a "white hispanic" until my hero Jorge Zimmerman. But, the left has never been shy about trying to change the language to try to propagandize the citizens

Snopes is to KKKhristiefan like Wikipedia is to Deshtard. KKKhristiefan actually thinks Snopes is "independent" and a "fact finding" site. I am not saying the link Damo posted is true. I am saying that I believe anything Snopes says as much as I believe the OP

Now, what was it that the liberals were always saying about "CODE WORDS" and racism?? :eek2

This makes me miss the times I thought you were sane but misled by a nearly religious belief in socialism.

Someone suggested that she should seek professional mental help and see about medication.
What if though, that she's done both and this is as good as it gets.

Well, if the group of "everyone" included only you, which it might in your delusions, then yes, no one believes that I am Damocles. However, for the rest of us, the sun still rises in the East and sets in the West and I still own this tiny corner of the Interwebs.

On your behalf, I want it noted that I believe you're the real Damo. :D

Damo is just having fun with the interwebs. You can knock-off the faux indignation.

You sound like IHA with the "faux indignation" bit. Did you read the words "disturbing if true", when it's so obvious this is crazy? Did you notice how quickly the usual suspects accepted it?

The usual suspects will accept anything. I could post that Hillary stabbed Podesta in a coke-induced rage, and certain people would believe it. I could just brush it off by saying "disturbing if true," which normal people should take as me trolling or being bored.

You posted this absolutely batshit crazy drivel and you call evince crazy?

Seek help.

LOL. Yeah, Desh's level of insane has reached whole new levels of insane. And this stuff is also insane, I'll also agree with that. Disturbing, but batcrap crazy for true.
