Photos shared on social media show that Bud Light has allegedly received Costco's so-called "star of death"—a small asterisk at the top right-hand corner of items' price tags which the retailer uses to signal a product will no longer be restocked once it is sold out.

Images shared on Twitter showed the price tags for Bud Light beer at different Costco stores, all marked with the "star of death." It's unclear where the stores are located. One of the pictures shows the beer being sold at $14.97 for a 2 x 12 pack, which a Twitter user said was Costco "practically giving away Bud Light."

Still waiting for Bud Light to be sold as a discount beer at the beer stores .

How many people have actually ever been in a Costco liquor store? They don't stock every brand. They cycle through different brands. They only stock large quantity items, cases or 1.75l bottles of liquor. I don't know that I have ever seen bud light at the Costco I frequent. I don't think I have ever seen Miller lite at a Costco either.

Costco buys items at a steep discount and then no longer stocks them when they can't get them at the discount they want. If anything, the "star of death" indicates that Bud Light isn't at a discount any more.
