Neither do they.....or any other day for that matter.I couldn't be a rep.....I refuse to work on Sunday.

Fine. But do try to actually comprehend what you read this time.
The reason they do it on the weekend is the same reason companies try to announce their 'not so good' news over the weekend..... People are less likely to pay attention to the news cycle on the weekend. ESPECIALLY on a Sunday night at 11:00 vs. Say on a Monday where it would hit the 5:00 news.
While the public is still going to find out what happened, the response time is typically delayed providing the spin masters time to weave their web of deceit.
Do notice how fast Lord Obama was out on college campuses with his fear tactics. 'oh, the Republicans want to repeal this? Go for it. Tell little suzie why her mom doesn't get free health care, tell small businesses why they don't get tax credits.... blah blah blah'
It is done on the weekends for the spin effect or in an attempt to minimize damage.... not too many people were up debating the merits of what took place at 12:00am Monday morning.
That said.... can you provide any valid reason for why they would hold the vote Sunday night vs. Monday? What possible benefit would it provide in doing so? Why the rush?
Uhhh hate to correct you ole boy but that trick is done on Friday nights. Not Sunday.
In other words, they do it because they want as few people as possible to know what is going on...what I've been saying all along.
As to a reason why they did it on a Sunday night?
That's easy.
Because they knew a Sunday night vote would chap the asses of so many conservative congressmen and women and produce a bumper crop of RightWing hyperbole.
Did you hear Glenn Beck and some random conservative congressional idiot on Beck's radio show saying the vote on Sunday night was an AFFRONT TO GOD!?!
Liberals did it because they KNEW it would get conservatives undies all in a bunch and boy howdy were they right.

Zap, think about your title of the thead and what you just wrote. If Democrats who are trying to pass this major piece of legislation really tried to schedule the vote at aparticular time to get the Republicans panties in a bunch wouldn't that kind of fit your title?
No. This kind of thing happens regularly, and Republicans should have just let it go. Petulant is shutting down all congressional business AFTER the vote because you didn't like the outcome of said vote.
Everyone knows that the vote was set for when it was because they wanted to get it done before the Easter recess.
If someone is purposefully trying to fuck with you you should just take it lying down or let it go?
No, I did not listen to Beck. I tend to ignore shows, both on radio and TV, that portray the idiots on the fringe of the two parties.
If they held the vote Sunday night for the reason you stated, then that is every bit as pathetic as the reason I stated. To deliberately try to offend people based on their religious beliefs (or lack thereof) is pathetic.
