petraeus is ready to give up our freedom of speech because of a few nutso muslims who kill each and might turn on american troops....i'm amazed he believes its just about burning their book...we don't need a military leader telling us what to do with our speech. i expect him to fight for that freedom, not to chill that freedom.

Last year people like Petraeus, Hillary and even the Pope begged this angry bigot disguised as a pastor not to do something that would have consequences to the troops and Americans overseas.

Petraeus has first-hand knowledge of how volatile the situation is, Jones doesn't. Nobody's saying Jones doesn't have freedom of speech but as you see now, that freedom had unintended consequences.

You guys are so two-faced it would be hilarious if it weren't sad. You (pl.) screech about war protesters and claim their actions will endanger the troops but when the angry bigot does something that results in danger, you play the "free speech" card.

Jones' actions are causing major blowback and he has no one to blame but himself.

Aren't we doing that in Libya? We (the U.S.) value human life so we say we want to stop potential genocide. But is that to say Libya puts the same value on human life that we do? And if they don't wouldn't we be imposing our cultural standards on the them (and the world)?
