It's amazing how politics even seeps onto a football board where I found this. Thought it was pretty funny. (And yes I'm aware he was referring to the car industry so no one get too upset please but rather ironic nonetheless)

EDIT: Before we continue, I should mention that this includes the surrounding cities, not just Detroit proper.

Interesting... I'd bet you a dog turd, shoot a whole yard full of them (because people in Detroit think sucky things are awesome) that the cars are assembled there, but the parts are most often made elsewhere.

Well like I said it would depend how you define elsewhere. If you mean only in the actual city limits then yes. If you mean in the practical accepted area then no. They're almost all made here.
