PEOPLE WHO PURCHASE GAS-POWERED CARS: ‘SORT OF LIKE BUILDING A HORSE BARN IN 1910’

Prove me wrong, you have failed at everything else.

In time the EV will be cheaper to purchase, cheaper to run with far less maintenance.

Prove your right moron. It's a speculative pile of malarky and wishful thinking. You've never been right about anything in your sad, pathetic, miserable uneducated life.

You should kill yourself. No one would care. No one would notice. The world's collective IQ would go up. :palm:

I have caught your ignorant ass in two lies in just the last day, honey pot. Admit you are wrong again.

Horse and buggy was not made illegal against the will of the people, they were allowed to choose, so not at all the same.

ICEs are not being made illegal either. They will be on our streets for many, many decades. You can drive stupid vehicles your whole life.

Terry do you know what paved roads and highways are?
Paved roads usually use asphalt (an oil product) or concrete (roasted lime mixed with stone and sand). Asphalt is quieter and cheaper, but concrete lasts longer. Things like traffic turtles (used for lane markers) are made of plastic (an oil product) and glued to the roadway using an oil product. Most roads today are built by private contractors hired by various governments (usually county or city).

Some roads are built using cobblestone or brick laid in a compacted sand base. Others use 'paving stones' or larger concrete bricks laid in compacted sand. (The sand has a small amount of top course to allow compaction).

State highways are funded at the State level, and the freeway system is funded at the federal level.

Do you know they are generally paid for by gov't and tax dollars?
Generally those taxes are paid by gasoline cars at the pump. EVs don't pay those taxes, which form yet another subsidy for the EV.
Do you know the role roads and interconnecting highways played in making the automobile a transformative technology and how much more isolated the tech would have remained had the gov't not embarked on that?
None. Highways and roads existed long before the car.
And lol at 'air pollution' having to be something that 'appeals to you'.
What 'air pollution'? Define this 'air pollution'.

Railroads that opened the West were PRIVATE, not Government owned.

There were three railways build across the nation...two of them were government owned. The third, Burlington Northern, was privately owned. It was the only railroad that made money. The other two never made any money, so the federal government implemented fascism and placed price controls on Burlington Northern railway. Today, I-90 and I-94 generally follow the path of that railway.

An interesting sideline about the 'golden spike' at the joining of east and west:
When laborers from the West and laborers from the East met, they were both being paid per mile of track laid and it was a government railroad.
Rather than joining the track into a single line, they simply started building past each other, continuing to collect their mile of track laid.

Eventually, they were found out (communications wasn't so good back then). The tracks were joined as one long siding (which still exists today), and a random site along that stretch was chosen for the famous 'golden spike' ceremony.

Today, the spike (which was gold plated steel) is sitting in a museum in Utah and it was replaced with a regular spike. The line is now the Santa Fe railway, and is finally privately owned and making money. Also I-80 generally follows the path of that railway.

He's already attempted a 'proof' by special pleading fallacy. He attempted another by randU fallacy (making up numbers).

No engine, no oil change, no tune ups, almost no maintenance

Gasoline cars have an engine, no tune ups, and are self adjusting. No significant maintenance (other than about a half hour once a year to change the oil), and checking various fluid levels (coolant, brake, transmission, pumpkin, etc.).

EVs have one or TWO 'engines' (the motors). They do not require tune ups either, and are also self adjusting. No significant maintenance (other than checking the oil level from time to time) and making sure the drive train is properly lubricated. It's also a good idea to check the coolant level of the batteries from time to time and of course the usual brake fluid level and such. You will need to change your brake pads more often on an EV, due to the extra weight and the tiny brakes.

However:
Tesla currently has the highest recall rate of all brands of cars, usually for software fixes, but also for brake problems, suspension problems, and corrosion problems. It's even worse than Government Motors.

If a gasoline car gets dented in a t-bone style accident, you can usually just pull it straight again and be on the road.
If an EV gets dented in a t-bone style accident, it can easily damage a battery in the pack. That totals the car and might even start a fire.

There is no oil in an electric car, you fucking dumb cunt.
