Is anyone on this forum familiar with a Website called "People of Walmart?

If so, I wanted to ask an American couple of questions about it

Thanks

What I want to know is whether you actually see people like this in Walmart Stores on a regular basis. Or did the people who made the Web-site go "cherry-picking" for the greatest slobs in Walmarts in dodgy areas ?

(That's a good example you posted , BTW).

What I'm guessing, is that ever since those "People of Walmart" photo websites became popular, some people will put on the crappiest looking clothes they can find and get a friend with a camera to come with them to Walmart for the sole purpose of photographing them, then post the picture.

That's what I think.

I wanted to know if when you visit a random "Walmart" in the US, you actually see weird people like the ones shown on the Website ?

I've never seen anyone dressed like that in Walmart.

The ones who do that probably go in the wee hours when there's hardly anyone in the store.

I think the photos are mostly set up and planned by the people in the pictures.

That's what I think.

Put it this way. Folks that shop at Walmart are generally on the lower end of society. Although I admit I go there on occasion. It’s cheap and if you can’t find what you want the next resort is Amazon. Normally I prefer to spend a little more and go to a Fred Meyer, which is similar.

I’ve seen some odd looking folks in there.

No, I guess it depends where you are. Maybe in San Francisco. I didn't know they had a Body Jewelry section.

Over 10k stores in 26 countries.

The worst are probably in McDonalds. That's where the junkies tend to hang out downtown and take over the bathrooms.
