People care about 1/6, and they care about abortion

Conservatives have the same mantra with both - "Americans don't care! They're focused on inflation - they simply don't care about issues like abortion, and 1/6 is a nothing burger."

Well, check the polls. And no - you're not allowed to discredit them now, because you post them every day about Biden. Most hover around 75% for Americans who think that the 1/6 hearings are important and that at MINIMUM Trump acted unethically, and the same for those who oppose the SCOTUS decision on abortion.

They care - and both could play a huge part of the mid-terms. Republicans could have coasted to an easy & huge victory in November, and now they have potentially undermined their own parade.

Shhh. Don't spoil it. We *want* them to believe this stuff so they'll stay home in November. All the Novembers. lol

I never said they didn't, but I will add that much of the Left doesn't give a shit about the small fry, the poor, the average guy. They're all about power. That's how it is in every Leftist run country.
yeah I was adding on more than contradicting.
and you are dead on about the left jettisoning the working man.

I know how strongly you feel about the union movement in America, how important it is for the average worker.

Not very. The people that I know that work for companies that are union are generally not happy with their union. For example, I know people that work for Boeing and Raytheon here in AZ. They won't join the union (right to work state) because they see ZERO benefit in doing so. Others join to get some specific personal benefit and for no other reason. They all see the unions as all but useless and just taking their money.

Now, I run into guys in my line of work that are IBEW member (electrician's union). They see their membership as more of a professional one where the union is certifying that members meet a certain level of ability, training, and such. They can work non-union or union shops and continue to be members paying their dues. They get a retirement plan from the union too. This is a union that has moved away from the traditional labor vs. management model into one like the bar for lawyers. That is, it trains and certifies members so employers know what they're getting. Membership isn't about arbitration and such with company management. That model would work today, but most traditional unions are stuck in the 19th Century thinking like a bunch of old-school Marxists that the relationship between labor and owners / management is nothing but adversarial.

Our resident right wing wonks will talk about anything else, dodge, lie, deny except deal with the FACTS that pokes holes in their Fox Noise balloon.

Incorrect. Look where Derek Chauvin is now.

Look at where Floyd is now. Dead mas a cockroach and the city of Minneapolis is down half a billion dollars and most of the police force has resignes and they have no new candidates. The same for Chicago, Portland, and so many other democrat run cities.

I never said Chauvin was not guilty. He was an ass. I also think one of the officers should have made a strong attempt to get him off Floyd. The other officer was on the force for something like four days and he had no chance.

This like most other police vs criminal shootings starts with the suspect refusing to follow officers' orders. People would do well to change their habits when given orders by a police officer.
