Penn State did the right thing where Catholic Church failed!

How many so-called "straight men" have just said fuck it, their wives, their marriages, and gone after a man they fell head over heels over? Thousands, I assure you. Tens of thousands. If not hundreds.

Again, talking about what you don't know. You have no knowledge that these men chose poorly. In your mind, you may think it was a poor choice, but reality, almost surely, is another matter. They could have been in loveless, dysfunctional marriages, and met men that "flipped" an internal switch, to awaken feelings they had repressed. How many times have I heard that. You know what the conventional wisdom is in gay circles....is that any man can be had by the right man. I don't think there is a man alive, who hasn't lusted for some man, if only briefly, in his own head. I could be wrong...but I doubt it.

Why? There are some beautiful men out there...and the same goes for women. I think women go there, more frequently than they admit, but they don't make such a fuss about it.
And it doesn't threaten their own identity or ideas of "womanhood". Men are such creatures of function and propriety, which I liken to building blocks or lego pieces. If it "fits together" they are quite content to move on in their mediocrity. Only the daring and inventive, think of new possibilities or ways of thinking. Not your typical Neanderthal.

You'd have to ask him why. I imagine its because of his religious upbringing and his inferiority complex. But that is just a guess.

If I were attracted to men I would have no problem acting on it. The problem is, I am a huge fan of women. Not anorexic models and silicone queens, but of real women. I find them fascinating, attractive, and usually more interesting to talk with and be around.

That is called conviction. And you're obviously confident in your sexuality not to be threatened by gays or lesbians. Homophobes have to wonder where their fear and their hatred stem from....either from self-doubt, repressed homosexual feelings, or feelings of inadequacy. Voila: DY, Failias, and Freedom.

I agree with the kids sign. I have a hard time believing the other coaches didn't know. I agree with your assessment on Paterno.... and that is coming from someone who loved Penn State football and Joe Pa prior to this.

That said, I disagree with the 'they should have cancelled the game' and 'Penn State should disband football'. The current players had nothing to do with what transpired when they were in their early teens. There is no way they should be punished for what those they chose to play for did.

As for the color blue... it is just coincidence that blue is the color for abused children and the color of Penn State football. Normally, the students wear white at home games, called the 'white out'... so it was different that they would wear blue.

The students who rioted when Paterno got fired are mindless idiots.

I guess that's true about the players, but that red-headed coach who witnessed the rape ( I hate when the media call it "the molestation" that was rape) need to be fired. And I would like to know who else knew what. Is it true Bradley knew? This stuff all has to be investigated IMO. You have to move forward only after completely disinfecting the place.

It must suck to have admired him and then find this out. I had never heard of him.

Gays, realized and not, quite often commit suicide, being unable to cope with the homophobia and the hatred, like you exhibit daily. Many more, "work through it", and emerge ont the other side, relieved and happy, to move on with their lives as their true selves. I'm wrong? Prove it (as you're wont to say).

McQueary should absolutely have been fired. He is every bit as culpable as Joe Pa. As far as Bradley and the rest of the coaches.... there has been nothing to show that they knew.... though as I said, I have a hard time personally believing that to be the case.

He was a legendary coach. Take a subject you dearly love, then take someone who does that who stands above the rest that you admire.... then find out something like this. Yeah... it sucks. Not as bad as it would for a Penn State fan (I am a Husker fan), but it sucked all the same.

This absolutely has to be investigated and anyone who knew anything about it should be fired at the least... beaten to a pulp would be my preference.

I know that some people, when those repressed feelings arise, are filled with self-loathing. It is truly sad. But suicide is their choice, albeit a bad one. The fact that they had rather die than face life as a homosexual shows the depth of hatred some in our society spew at gays. I had a very good friend commit suicide in 1995, and I suspect that his sexuality had a lot to do with it.

But then, those who resist the temptation have still sinned. Lust, whether acted on or not, is a sin. So those who have those repressed feelings and do not act on them......well, according to you they burn in hell.
