The assholes on Trump's side are demanding that a campaign promise be kept before they will re-open the government.

The people on Pelosi's side are not demanding anything. They are saying, "Let's re-open the government...then we can discuss how we are going to spend the people's money."

And that may involve money for a barrier or it may not.
