House Speaker Nancy Pelosi signaled to President Trump in a letter Wednesday that she will not allow him to deliver next week’s scheduled State of the Union address from the House floor.

“I am writing to inform you that the House of Representatives will not consider a concurrent resolution authorizing the president’s State of the Union address in the House Chamber until government has opened,” Pelosi wrote in the letter to Trump.

Whether the speech takes place in the House chamber remains Pelosi’s call, as the House and Senate must approve a concurrent resolution approving the use of the chamber for the State of the Union.

Let the idiot speak. I remember seeing, that about 7% approve of shutting down the government, for the wall. That's somewhere around 24 million people. Sounds like a lot, but it's not. That's only about 3-4 million above Mexico City. If he squawks to the nation it will only make his situation worse.

You don't get to just say that, with everything you don't like. It's not people who support the wall, it's people that think shutting down the government to try, and get it, is a good tactic. Considering I see no reason for Dems to let him make the kings decision, against the American people, it really is a bad idea.
