the GOP is desperate to lure Democrats into their "see they're just out to get back at Trump for beating Hillary!" trap.....give the base some bloody red meat, fire em all up

plus an impeachment effort would suck all the air out of the room for months, then end with the Senate refusing to convict and the base riled up for daddy once again

nope, this is simply Pelosi's pragmatism

no need to provide the Trump cultists with a foil to bash Democrats for being too aggressive. an impeachment exercise would fail anyway to convict, and could very well serve to impede Mueller's investigation

much better to contain Trump's treason and his damage to our democracy than fuel the zealots by losing an impeachment attempt

a Trump indictment is still very much a possibility after the true nature of Trump's collusion with the Russian Federation for personal gain is revealed - Trump Tower Moscow, the biggest deal of this life

if he's not in prison he'll be very easy to beat, unless his boss Putin hacks our elections, not just a DNC server, which I admit is a possibility

This is a very good analysis. Pelosi is far smarter than Trump's crowd gives her credit for, she's not going to back a risky move w/o surety of success - and make a martyr out of the Donald.

if it were popular to impeach trump, then that would be the best move. you are admitting it would be a bad move, because you know americans wont stand for it.

a lot of Dems want impeachment proceedings to commence now, Pelosi knows there aren't enough Americans on board yet and wants to avoid impeachment with no conviction

if there were enough votes in the Senate to convict, she'd jump on the opportunity and get rid of him

this is why the GOP is egging her on........part of the kabuki
