I was going to say I found it hard to believe a high profile politician would actually state that publically. I thought it was from the Onion at first.
 
Yeah, if bishops will deny communion to abortionists like Kerry, then others can certainly target capitalists like Ryan. I find it difficult to believe that any prominent Catholic isn't giving a ton of money to charity, because we love our works, but I can see Catholic leaders going after Ryan.

Well Jesuit preists have been schooling him on his economic views because Ryan played the "Catholic Values" card in defense of his economic views and the Jesuits pointed out that Ryan's views reflect those of Ayn Rand and her social darwinism and not the teachings of the Catholic Church.
 
I think this is a positive step.....just think of all the liberals who will be excommunicated for supporting abortion rights..........
