Ryan needs Trump.
The GOP needs money for the busy work behind election (getting signatures to get on the ballot and the like) which is why Trump would not want to run as an independant. They also need to support the entire down ballot.
Trump will continue to represent himself but he should help the party with party stuff.

I'll ignore the exaggeration on "4 billion" for now. Trump didn't anticipate how much it would cost?
His entire pitch was that he was going to self-fund, and therefore not owe anyone anything. That's out the window.

Trump said he was self-funding. He's not. That's the end of another interesting Trump story.
It was just a loan, and he has now made enough in donations to pay himself back, but he suddenly realized that he doesn't have enough money to loan his campaign for the general, so he has to become a non self funder.
My goodness, Trumpeeters know so little about their candidate, it is very sad.

That's your opinion and it's wrong. His donors wont expect favors, his donors will understand that we the people come first. This entire primary campaign was about the people vs. the donors and the donors, despite spending multi millions on their candidates got their assess totally kicked and the people won.
All of you had better take warning because Trump is going to win this upcoming election and we the voters will win right along with him. That spells bad news for you because the entire political establishment is about to be altered permanently. Hell, it's already being altered as Trump is putting GOP party boss Ryan on the hot seat.
