Papadopoulos Urged to Withdraw Guilty Plea – Was Set Up By Deep State Spies

So they all conspired to throw the election to Trump so they could then spend the next two years investigating him?

The meeting was either a Nothing Burger or a set up to try and get Junior to offer a bribe. Mullet could call it a wrap, if that happened. If Junior was liking what he was hearing he wouldn’t have texted his secretary to have her call him out of the meeting.

That’s practically a slam dunk for Nothing Burger.

Because your conspiracy theory never happened.

What did happen was:

  • Russia reached out to Papadopolous saying they had dirt on Clinton
  • Papadopolous told Trump of that in March 2016
  • Uday and Goldstone worked to set the meeting up
  • Scavino tweeted on May 11th, 2016 that Russia was in possession of stolen e-mails
  • Trump Tower meeting that included Manafort, Kushner, and Uday was in June 2016
  • July 2017 was when Wikileaks dumped the e-mails during the Democratic Convention
  • A couple days after that, Trump went on TV and asked Russia for help.
  • Around that same time, Comey began the FBI investigation of Russian attacks
  • In January 2017, Trump was shown evidence that Putin directly and personally ordered the attacks
  • Trump fired Comey in May 2017 "because of Russia"
  • Mueller was then appointed Special Counsel

That was one fast-appointed SP, huh lol?

Doesn’t it usually take months of Congress critters calling for one?

If Junior was liking what he was hearing he wouldn’t have texted his secretary to have her call him out of the meeting.

It doesn't matter what transpired from that meeting because Uday took it with the knowledge Russia was in possession of illegally obtained information from the Russian government.

And what evidence leads you to conclude nothing came from this meeting?

Wikileaks dumped the e-mails a few weeks later, during the Democratic Convention. So if anything, you could probably surmise the meeting was productive and they discussed the strategy for releasing those e-mails, and likely plotted further attacks (like Trump asking Russia for help days after the Wikileaks dump).

Look at this fevered attempt to avoid the timeline.

So Russia reached out to Papdopolous they had hacked e-mails, Papa tells Trump, Uday and Goldstone arrange the meeting, Scavino tweets Russia has hacked e-mails, Uday, Manafort, and Kushner meet with Russian government lawyers at Trump Tower, Wikileaks dumps the e-mails Scavino tweeted about during the Democratic Convention, just days after the dump Trump goes on TV and asks Russia for help. Around this time, Comey begins the FBI investigation of Russian attacks. Trump is then told in Jan 2017 that Putin personally ordered the attacks. Trump fires Comey 5 months later "because of Russia". Mueller is then appointed Special Counsel and Conservatives like Newt praise him.

The most reasonable inference based on the evidence?

Well, Wikileaks did dump the e-mails discussed at the Trump Tower meeting in the middle of the Democratic Convention. So it would seem that Trump's team met with Russia at Trump Tower to find out what the e-mails were, then coordinated their release via Wikileaks the next month during the Democratic Convention (proving the timing of the Wikileaks dump was politically motivated to harm the Democrats as they were trying to unite after the primary).

No reasonable inference can be made that the Trump Tower meeting was a "nothing burger" since the e-mails discussed at that meeting were later dumped by Wikileaks during the Democratic Convention. Once Roger Stone is indicted, it'll show that he was the one who was in contact with the GRU and Wikileaks. The Wikileaks doc dump has Roger Stone's slimy fingers all over it.

You made a big leap there.

You have to prove Junior coordinated the release. Trump can’t control the Russians: if they want to release stolen documents to help Trump that STILL doesn’t necessarily lead to the conclusion Trump was in cahoots with them.

And for crying out loud, the Russians were helping Hillary, for a fact—no guessing, no speculation, with the bloody Dossier, and it’s been an albatross around Trump’s neck ever since it was released.

The double standard is appalling.

It is never fun to tackle fact checkers, but this one is a case study in that modern art of omitting details, stating unsupportable assertions as fact, slipping things in, manipulating a narrative. Opinion as "fact." So let's go through it.

2)"Ohr exists in a netherworld — a subject of fascination in right-leaning media". Right, though piece fails to note that is because mainstream media is more "fascinated" by Omarosa than it is the news that a high ranking DOJ official--
3)--whose wife worked for Clinton oppo-research group Fusion GPS--was feeding said oppo research to the FBI. And that the FBI was taking it even after having officially terminated Fusion employee Christopher Steele as a source, for breaking FBI rules.
4)"Ohr is less of a central player." The guy was among highest ranking DOJ officials. And anybody who works for one central player in this drama (DOJ) and has dozens of contacts with all the other central players (Fusion, FBI, Steele) is by definition pretty central.
5) "Steele, a former British intelligence officer with ties to the FBI and the U.S. intelligence community." Noble Steele, right? Only fails to note he looks also been working for/helping a Russian oligarch, even as he wrote dossier hyping Trump-Russia. Goes to credibility, no?
6)"the dossier is actually several memos, based on conversations with Russian sources" Well, so says Steele and Glenn Simpson (Fusion GPS cofounder). fact checker just takes their word for it. But some suspect a few non Russians might have had some input.
7)"the probe into the Trump campaign originally was sparked by a separate matter that Steele never wrote about." So says the FBI. But it notably won't provide any docs to back this up, and only came up with the Papadopoulos story after dossier was exposed.
8) (I thought fact checkers existed to question unsupported claims?)
9) "(Bruce Ohr’s 278e financial disclosure form lists her as an “independent contractor.”)" This bland statement (i am assuming purposely) omits the key point: That this description masked where she really worked--Fusion--which Ohr should have disclosed, but didn't.
10) "Bruce Ohr and Steele knew each other, apparently because of organized-crime issues." Maybe. But their relationship in early 2016 was Steele lobbying Ohr on behalf of Russian oligarch, about visas and sanctions. Important "fact," right? (gets slipped in at end of piece)
11) "Simpson said Steele suggested he speak to Ohr after the “very surprising” victory by Trump." This statement, and quote that follows, make it sounds like Simpson's outreach was just a casual, "let me do the right thing" moment AFTER the election. But it omits...
12) that Simpson was in touch with Ohr months earlier, at start of Trump-Russia probe. Specifically, an email to Ohr from Simpson in August reads: "Can u ring." Which is a pretty familiar way to email someone you rarely talk to.
13)"But Steele and Simpson did not know that" Really? How can Fact Checker make such a claim? Steele was in continuous contact with high ranking DOJ official, who could easily have apprised him on probe. Steele also had contacts in FBI and in State Dept.
14) "Steele and Ohr had been in contact before the election, though it’s unclear how much Ohr knew about Steele’s work for Fusion." Um, maybe a fair amount, given all the summer contact between Steele, Simpson and Ohr? Why downplay it?
15)"The two men had had a continuing discussion about Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska in 2016" Again, that "discussion" involved a foreign national (Steele) lobbying DOJ official. At end we hear only that Steele was "concerned" re Deripaska. no description of his requests.
16) "And Bruce Ohr apparently spoke to Simpson on Aug. 22, according to phone logs reviewed by York." Doesn't note it was Simpson that demanded a call. Also slipped in late in piece, like no big deal, rather than back in main timeline describing Simpson outreach to Ohr.
17) "He appears to be only a messenger." Wow. So DOJ official passes along Clinton oppo to FBI, from a discredited source. Doesn't tell that his wife is profiting from this venture. No big deal. Just a "messenger." Imagine if official in Bush DOJ had done this to Obama team.
18) "At this point, it’s unclear what Ohr even told his friend at the FBI about Steele’s information" Wow again. Where does this "friend" come from? why put it that way? Ohr was debriefed by FBI agents at least 12 times, contents in official 302s. This isn't water cooler talk
19) "There is also, as yet, no evidence that senior Justice Department officials were even aware of Ohr’s sideline communications with Steele about the Russian probe." Wow times three. That some in DOJ didn't know is one of the problems. Who set this up? Who was kept in dark?
20) "Trump’s mention of Ohr’s wife appears gratuitous. Her role in the matter, as yet, appears minimal." She worked for the main player in this drama, Fusion. And Fact Checker has zero ability to make that claim, since we still don't know her role. Bizarre.
21. THE PINOCCHIO TEST: There are no facts wrong here, so no pinocchios based on WaPo's preferred pinocchio standard. But fact checkers are also more than capable of rearranging words and details to create a misleading narrative. so, pinocchios galore on that front.

You have to prove Junior coordinated the release.

No I don't. All I have to prove is that Uday knew the e-mails were stolen, and I did that by pasting Scavino's tweet about those e-mails on May 11th.

So Uday took the meeting with Russian government lawyers because he knew they were in possession of stolen e-mails. How do we know that? Because Scavino tweeted it on May 11th.

And for crying out loud, the Russians were helping Hillary, for a fact—no guessing, no speculation, with the bloody Dossier, and it’s been an albatross around Trump’s neck ever since it was released.

Hilarious.

1. The dossier you've been unable to show is inaccurate in any way.

2. So Russia hacked Clinton to help her throw the election to Trump so Clinton could not be President, and so we could spend the last two years investigating him?

You make no sense. That's not by accident.

You keep saying the emails were discussed at the meeting.

You keep saying the emails were discussed at the meeting.

Only because that's what Goldstone and Uday were talking about in their e-mail exchange. And because of Scavino's May 11th tweet about Russia being in possession of stolen e-mails.

I thought the story was it didn’t matter lol?

All that matters is getting dirt from Russians during a campaign. Right? Junior didn’t get any, Hillary did. If it doesn’t matter whether Junior actually got any, then it doesn’t matter if Hillary actually got it but didn’t use it.

Which way is the wind blowing today?

Only because that's what Goldstone and Uday were talking about in their e-mail exchange. And because of Scavino's May 11th tweet about Russia being in possession of stolen e-mails.

But it wasn’t discussed at the meeting and you have no knowledge that Junior thought emails would be the subject of the meeting?

Papadopoulos Urged to Withdraw Guilty Plea – Was Set Up By Deep State Spies and Clinton Operatives

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/20...p-by-deep-state-spies-and-clinton-operatives/

Isn't it fascinating how much deception an outlet like Gateway Pundit can slip into so little space? First there's the passive voice -- he's "being urged" rather than someone specific urging him. A more forthright delivery would make it clear that it's Trump's water carrier at Fox News who is urging Papadopoulos to risk serious jail-time rather than take a plea that presumably comes with cooperation in the Russia investigation. Then there's the hilarious bit about him supposedly being a "lower level campaign worker" -- as if he was some retired grandpa who went door-to-door distributing Trump fliers. Here in the real-world, though, he was a member of the Trump Campaign's foreign policy team, directly recruited by the co-chair of the campaign. During the campaign, he corresponded directly with top leaders of the campaign, including Manafort, and Lewendowski, as well as Russian officials.

I thought the story was it didn’t matter lol?

Now you're just trying to conflate because that's the only strategy you have left in your empty bag of tricks.

You're the ones screeching about the dossier without showing how any of it is false. And besides, the dossier isn't what prompted the investigation; Papdopolous was, according to Nunes' own memo.

All that matters is getting dirt from Russians during a campaign.

Illegally-acquired dirt. Trump's team knew Russia stole e-mails because Scavino tweeted about it on May 11th.

Then there's the e-mail exchange between Goldstone and Uday where they talk about those e-mails, confirming they're coming from the Russian government.

So:

1. Uday and Goldstone set up a meeting with Russia
2. Scavino tweets Russia has stolen e-mails
3. Wikileaks dumps those stolen e-mails a few weeks after the Trump Tower meeting, during the Democratic Convention

You have yet to prove that nothing came from the meeting at Trump Tower - a meeting Trump and his people denied even happened, then said it was about "adoptions", and are now saying nothing came from it. So that's two times the story changed. So since the story changed twice already, why would Trump or anyone from his team be telling the truth about what came from that meeting?

Right? Junior didn’t get any, Hillary did.

No, Uday got 20,000 e-mails and coordinated with Russia and Wikileaks (using Stone) to release them during the Democratic Convention to hurt the party unity. How do I know this? Because that's what happened!

If it doesn’t matter whether Junior actually got any, then it doesn’t matter if Hillary actually got it but didn’t use it.

The Steele Dossier did not prompt the investigation, and so far, you've been unable to prove anything about the dossier is untrue.

Secondly, nothing in the Steele dossier was illegally obtained, but the e-mails Uday met with Russia about were and he knew they were stolen.

So that's the difference.

But it wasn’t discussed at the meeting and you have no knowledge that Junior thought emails would be the subject of the meeting?

Sure it was! We know it was the subject of the meeting because that's what the e-mail exchange between Goldstone and Uday was all about; discussing the information obtained by Russia. Information Uday knew was stolen because Scavino tweeted they were stolen.

And that's a far cry from the "No contact with Russia" y'all said before. Remember? You all (and Trump) were saying no one had any contact with Russia. So that's a lie, wasn't it? So if they lied about having contact with Russia, wouldn't they also be lying about what that contact was and what it was about? Sure seems to be the case since your stories keep changing.
