Because the Canadian system is for EVERYONE. Even the Canadian Premier would be treated like Joe Sixpack and not as the Premier when they use the Canadian system, and for some, being treated the same as the common rabble are treated is "below their standing".

Why was the Canadian premier here in the USA for his healthcare?

Because the rich can buy their way to the front of the line here...

Now I'm speaking out of my *ss here but I have a real hard time believing that the Canadian system is so egalitarian that the Prime Minister is going to have to wait in line like everyone else if something happens to him.
