I specified that they didn't necessarily need to suck up. But, if you want to run for office, declaring war on the media isn't necessarily the best strategy.

If you're President, you have to work with a lot of people, countries & leaders who you don't necessarily "like" or think are fair to you. Palin has more of an "us vs. them" mentality...
