Palin: I didn't `mess up' Paul Revere history

I would call it the 'Independent Payment Advisory Board' that is specifically prohibited by law from recommending any policies that ration care, raise taxes, increase premiums or cost-sharing, restrict benefits or modify who is eligible for Medicare.

For all intents and purposes, it will serve as a DEATH PANEL... deciding who is worth saving and who it's better to let die. Now I agree, it's not called the Independent DEATH PANEL Advisory Board.... you got me there!

And you draw your conclusions from information gathered from WHOM Dixie; the Republicans who said they were for health care reform, but at the beginning of this process we made a strategic decision to "make no deal with the administration. No negotiations, no compromise, nothing. They were going for all the marbles. This would be Obama’s Waterloo – just as healthcare was Clinton’s in 1994."

From the same Republican parrots who squawked 'Frank Luntz talking points' crafted to terrorize citizens and destroy reform?

Or maybe one of the scurrilous 'front groups' insurance cartels set up to destroy reform?

Dixie, you like to use the word 'pinhead'...that would be a huge leap forward for you.

I think probably about 85-90% of this country is (or was) receptive to the idea of REFORMS in the health care system. REFORMS... not a complete government takeover! There were dozens of suggestions by republicans, which may have been advantageous to all Americans, and could have corrected many of the problems they face, with health care cost. What happened to those suggestions? Well, Obama told them to sit down and shut up, the election was over. Now you want to spin that into the mean old republicans just wanted to stick it to Obama... but that's not what they did when they went in good faith, to the White House, to discuss the matter. OBAMA stuck it to himself when he rejected ANY Republican idea, and allowed Nancy Pelosi to ram through Socialized Medicine, against the will of the people. Now guess what is going to happen? It's going to be regurgitated in your face!

How secretly embarrassing this must be, to be forced to face that you're dumber than the reputed dummy.

seriously bravo? you're a moron then...the ride had ZERO to do with warning the british, that only happened because he was captured....yeah bravo....the plan was for him to get get captured, that is why his letters indicate his desire to keep the mission a secret

:pke:

She didn't say it was "part of the plan" she said "part of his ride" ...two completely different things, idiot!

dixie...you're koolaid drinking hack....his ride was OVER when he was captured...yeah...he was still riding when they interrogated him, galloping up along on his plan to warn the others....the RIDE is the PLAN....stop being such a blind hack....and she said soi herself:

He who warned the British that they weren't going to be taking away our arms by ringing those bells and, um, making sure as he's riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that, uh, we were going to be secure and we were going to be free.

he was not riding his horse through town when being interrogated by the british....she clearly believes his PLAN and the RIDE was about warning the british and ringing bells and warning shots....all of that is not true as his mission was SECRET.

you and bravo are making huge asses out yourselves

Again Yurt, when did Palin say that it was "part of the plan" to be captured? In the end, was a "warning" issued to the British by Revere? Yes, it was... after he was captured. So a PART OF the story, is that Revere warned the Brits that they would not succeed, that we had their number, that we were waiting for them and ready.... that is part of history, and it can't be refuted. You are now trying to manipulate what she actually SAID into what you WISH she had said, because it sounds stupid. YOU are STUPID, not PALIN!

Palin did not say that Revere was riding his horse through town when he was being interrogated by the British. If that is what you comprehended, have yourself checked for mental retardation, because chances are, you are afflicted. You are trying (desperately) to manipulate what she said, which probably wasn't worded as clearly as she should have, into some kind of idiotic "gotchya" moment, because you don't like Sarah Palin.

Plain and simple!

so he warned the british before his capture? LOL....you're losing big time. the only time he "warned" them was during his interrogation after capture....but she claims he was warning the british WHILE riding his horse through town.

your partisan goggles are strong with this one

you just contradicted yourself...at least you admit he "warned" them after his capture...but that is NOT what she said

He who warned the British that they weren't going to be taking away our arms by ringing those bells and, um, making sure as he's riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that, uh, we were going to be secure and we were going to be free.

now - did he or did he not warn the british "as he was riding his horse through town"

simple yes or no

Dixie, we've been over this before ad nauseum.

It is not 'a complete government takeover'

And YES the mean old republicans just wanted to stick it to Obama...

Waterloo David Frum

My God Dixie, David Frum is a Republican and former speechwriter for George W. Bush. He was fired from his 6 figure job at a right wing think tank for telling the truth.

These are HIS WORDS:

"At the beginning of this process we made a strategic decision: unlike, say, Democrats in 2001 when President Bush proposed his first tax cut, we would make no deal with the administration. No negotiations, no compromise, nothing. We were going for all the marbles. This would be Obama’s Waterloo – just as healthcare was Clinton’s in 1994."

Yurt, you are taking something she said in a figurative way, to imply she intended it literally. I don't understand why you fail to not see that. I have already said, it is probably not the best choice of words she used, in how she drew the figurative picture, but that doesn't mean she intended it literally, as it is being interpreted. She was delivering a political speech, not giving children a history lesson! Her intent was not to teach her audience perfectly accurate details of Paul Revere's ride, it was used to make a bigger and broader point, in a very philosophical way. Now, could she have prefaced her statement with the words "in a sense..." or "figuratively speaking..."? I have already stated that, yes, she could have worded it differently, but I get what she was trying to say, because I am not a retarded pinhead like you, apparently.

i'll take that as NO, he was not riding through town when he warned the british

thanks for finally admitting her statement is not factual and therefore wrong

So for the record... YURT thinks Sarah Palin believes Paul Revere rode through the town ringing his bell, warning the BRITS that we weren't going to let them take our guns away and we were going to kick their asses! He thinks Palin believes that is what happened, and this is what she said.

I mean really, Yurt... the woman owns a freaking bus... I think she probably has a higher intelligence level than that. Could it possibly be, that Yurt has taken something she said completely OUT OF CONTEXT in order to bash her and criticize her, because he doesn't like her politically? Hmmm...let me think about that one for a minute.....?

gee....how could i possibly think that when she said it, not once, but twice when she doubled down and insisted she was not wrong.

have fun drinking the koolaid...hack

What context was she speaking in though, Yurt? Again, do you honestly believe Sarah Palin thinks Paul Revere was riding trough town ringing his bells to warn the British they weren't going to take our guns away? Is that really what you believe, Yurt? Come on man, let's get you on record with this, are you really THAT clueless and aloof?

Watch how the man whose mind is like a steel trap...rusted shut, begins flailing madly as he tries to convince himself any any other pathetic Palin lovers that what she said isn't REALLY what she said...ROTFLMAO

i am on record, you're little hack who refuses to say yes or no that her comments are accurate....when she defended herself on fox, she did NOT say it was figurative. YOU are making shit up to defend her and it's pathetic. instead of saying it was figurative.....she DOUBLED DOWN and said she was CORRECT. you don't get to make up what she was thinking, all we have to go on are her words and they are clear as day, and she made it more clear because she doubled down

NO.....

He who warned the British that they weren't going to be taking away our arms by ringing those bells (END of this declaration)

and, um, making sure

(beginning of new declaration)

as he's riding his horse through town
to send those warning shots and bells that, uh, we were going to be secure and we were going to be free.

Its a simple matter of reading comprehension...something you lack

wtf? they are the SAME declaration idiot....the second part isn't even a new sentence....she is ELABORATING on the point by explaining HOW -- riding on his horse through town...my lord, i've seen you hack it up, but this is by far your worst

and really, you shouldn't be talking to anyone about reading comprehension

now...is the statement accurate or not?
