Palin angered by 'sexist' Newsweek cover

I really am a bit nauseous. Please, just back away from the keyboard and come back when you have calmed down, or stay away from threads of people you hate because it really is rather sickening how far you are willing to stray from your supposed beliefs to trash somebody you hate.
 
palin is a fruitcake. i would never every cast a vote for her no matter how much i hated the democrat running. That woman thinks its ok for countries to create settlements in other countries. Like usa creating a settlement in mexico.

Irrelevent what you think of her politics its the picture Newsweek posted on its cover that's being discussed.

To women like Desh and Christie (as I'm sure you already know) femimism = liberalism.

If you don't support liberalism then you aren't a feminist and don't deserve our support. When something as blatantly sexist as this doesn't get Desh's and Christie's support because they hate her politics then you know it is far from a house united.

I think they might have shopped the head onto the body. I doubt Palin would have agreed to take those photos with them.

ok so my comment on that is that she was a former pageant model.. shes got no say based on that history to call that cover sexist without being a hypocrite.

I do not expect that she will run, She knows that would be the end of her 15 min's. I suspect she sees herself as a behind the sceens influence pedeler. I hope she runs.... We need a new Dan Quayle to kick around a bit!

Newsweek decided to use a photograph originally used for a Runners World article published last August. ...

“The choice of photo for the cover of this week’s Newsweek is unfortunate,” Palin wrote on her Facebook page. “When it comes to Sarah Palin, this ‘news’ magazine has relished focusing on the irrelevant rather than the relevant. The Runner’s World magazine one-page profile for which this photo was taken was all about health and fitness — a subject to which I am devoted and which is critically important to this nation.”

“The out-of-context Newsweek approach is sexist and oh-so-expected by now. If anyone can learn anything from it: it shows why you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, gender, or color of skin. The media will do anything to draw attention - even if out of context,” she adds.

It is one thing for a person to stand up in a pageant on their own and use their looks to get ahead. It is another thing for another to use their gender/looks to attack them. Suggesting that her being in pageants means people can treat Palin however they wish without Palin being able to comment on it is ridiculous.

The photos were taken by Runners World. They wanted to do a story on her because she is a runner with a high profile... not to mention she was working mother.
