OWS movement: We've seen this before!

This thread is so awesome. I have been enjoying the hell out of it.

FTR I don't believe SF is either unethical or dishonest. However, I did see him end a sentence with a preposition on this thread.

I'm sorry, I have to be honest.

But anyway, don't stop, this is an awesome thread!

LOL.... so you are verifying that Bfgrn did indeed slander my 'good' name (in your opinion).... thanks.... BFGRN.... PWNED.

So what is your take on Walker being a dictator.... agree/disagree with your fellow liberals?

Well, he didn't campaign on ending collective bargaining rights. So I think he's sneaky, beholden to corporate fat cats, and I think he overreached and showed a lot of hubris. I also believe he will pay for that at the polls, if he's not succesfully recalled first.

LMAO.... that is a sad excuse. Very few politicians give actual details during a campaign as to how they are going to accomplish the rhetoric they spew on the campaign trail. He returned the bargaining where it belongs... between unions and tax payers. This is a far better situation than the current, bribe a politician system that Ohio just returned to.

The word is successfully. (since you pointed out my preposition error)

I spilled juice on my keyboard. It wasn't my fault, I hit the s twice?

Would you believe I was resting my fingers?

Anyway...we're not discussing whether you support his move. He did not campaign on ending collective bargaining rights. That's quite a "detail" to leave out. The last I looked his disapproval rating was at 53%, and in a hypothetical match-up with Russ Feingold, he'd be handily beaten. His constituents seem unhappy.

I'd say that was an overreach.

He'll have to face the voters whether in a recall, or the next election. They'll have the final say. I can only comment on the situation as it stands now.

Again, most politicians do not give details as to how they will accomplish their overall objectives. Acting like this is something unusual is quite comical.

Obama's disapproval rate is at 54% (Rasmussen) 53% (ABC) 51% (NBC) 48% (Gallup)

So he obviously over reached as well.

There are just too many rules to follow if you want to be a liberal. That must be why lefties like mind games and semantics.

His numbers are in the 50s because progressives are pissed at him for trying to compromise with teabaggery. Progressives and Independents who understand the issues and are feeling the consequences of trickle-down will elect him again.

His numbers are in the 50's because Independents have turned against him due to his pathetic efforts on the economic front and his inability to lead.

How can you say that? I'm sure many independents have turned because of the economy, but the idea that Obama continues to enjoy strong support from the liberal base is a right wing pipe dream. If a pollster called me I'd say I strongly disapprove of Obama. However, I'll vote for him in 012 only because of the courts. I hate that I have to do it, but I that is that. Still, I would show up as someone who disapproves.

There are a lot more like me.

Look at the polls... the greatest drop off has been among Independents. It isn't even close.

When you factor in what will affect the election, it will be that drop off in Independents support. Not the dropoff in Liberals.... because most, like you will still vote Obama. Add in the fact that his approval rating among liberals is still at 70%.

But the election and his approval ratings are two different things. That was my point. Plenty of disaffected liberals are lowering his approval ratings and have been for a long time.

We'll see what happens with independents. The R's have to nominate Romney otherwise you'll have a whole lot of independents holding their noses right along side liberals. But of course, I think Romney's a done deal and always has been.

LMAO... you stated many were. That is why I laughed at you. The vast majority are from left wing websites.

LOL... how about the left wing know-nothing talking points.... 'they want to steal from granny', 'they are going to take your SS benefits', 'they are going to poison our air and water', 'global warming is man made', 'the oceans will rise 20 feet', 'Republicans don't want any regulations', 'Republicans want sick people to die'... etc... etc...

\

I consciously DON'T post from far left websites. But, of course ANYTHING that disturbs your dogma HAS to be far left.

WHY are you ignoring that I post from David Frum? Too uncomfortable for you? How about Bruce Bartlett? How about John Dean? How about Victor Gold? Are they all RINO's??

I'd be happy to debate ANY of those topics. And some of them we have.

'they want to steal from granny'...TRUE...Paul Ryan's plan for Medicare would cause retired people on fixed income who currently pay 30% of their annual medical costs to skyrocket to 68%, WHAT would YOU call it...propaganda?

Bush so severely disabled the Clean Air and Clean Water Acts, it will be impossible to force polluters to EVER clean up their toxins and carcinogens. And polluters can dump any debris they want into our streams and tributaries by just filing for a permit from the Corp of Engineers. Something that can be done by mail.

Does THAT sound like environmental stewardship, or licking the ass of polluting corporations?

Current House Republicans are proposing numerous 'Bills' that remove environmental protection. Does calling it a 'jobs' bill suddenly make it environmental stewardship??

WHY are you ignoring death panels and government takeover of health care LIES?

According to the latest from Gallup the liberals are at 79% approval down from a high of 92%, so they are a part of the detraction, but not one Obama has to worry about.

The Independents are down to 30%, they are a much larger demographic than liberals and that drop is from 54% that voted for him over McCain's 46%. That is catastrophic as it is independents that decide the close elections.

I would agree at this point that Romney is the most electable for Independents. If the jobs numbers don't improve between now and Nov 2012 it will be a close race that will likely go against Obama... even with a Perry ticket (which is the only one I can see knocking off Romney at this point).

My guess is that Rubio or Ryan will be VP Candidate.

LMAO... yeah, so you don't post from Politco, Moveon and Huff po?

WHY are you ignoring that I post from David Frum? Too uncomfortable for you?

I didn't ignore it you twit. I addressed it. This is your consistent problem, you have a severe selective reading disorder. Posting a few nonsensical quotes from Republicans doesn't mean the vast majority of your posts are from LEFT WING sites.

I'd be happy to debate ANY of those topics. And some of them we have.

By all means then, start up a thread on the topic of your choice. We'll see how long you last before cutting and pasting becomes your sole response.

'they want to steal from granny'...TRUE...Paul Ryan's plan for Medicare would cause retired people on fixed income who currently pay 30% of their annual medical costs to skyrocket to 68%, WHAT would YOU call it...propaganda?

Yes, it is pure propaganda. That plan (assuming those numbers are correct) is not 'stealing from granny'. It is not stealing from anyone. If the current system is about $60 Trillion underfunded then the current generation is STEALING from the future generations. Asking them to pay for today's seniors at the expense of their own futures. Ryan's plan simply states that people have to pay a bigger share or the system as a whole implodes. Which it will in its present state. Tell us genius, if the system goes bankrupt, what portion of the bill will seniors then be paying? Hint: It is a three figure percentage.... I will give you a hint: It looks remarkably like 100%.

Pure nonsense. It is funny that when you post idiotic claims such as the above that is the only instances that you DONT provide links to the actual data. Not an article on it. But the government site and app for permit that allows them to dump whatever they want. Please show us that.

Does THAT sound like environmental stewardship, or licking the ass of polluting corporations?

The problem you brainwashed left wingers never grasp is that some regulations are necessary, many are not. Just look at the moronic attempts to regulate CO2 as a prime example. Are you aware that if those measures go through those grannies on fixed income will be devoting more of their budget to energy bills? Does this mean the Dems are STEALING from granny?

Current House Republicans are proposing numerous 'Bills' that remove environmental protection. Does calling it a 'jobs' bill suddenly make it environmental stewardship??

You wouldn't understand environmental stewardship if it hit you in the face. As I stated, there are numerous regulations that are nonsensical. Some are required. If you have a specific bill you wish to discuss, then be specific and we can do so.

WHY are you ignoring death panels and government takeover of health care LIES?

Are there or are there not panels in Obama care that will decide which procedures will be covered (note: these are done on a cost basis analysis)?

With Obama care, is the government more or less involved in the national health care system and how it is managed?

I see you still haven't addressed your inability to comprehend.

The point was to show what happens. My personal experience was used as an example. It was not the main focus of the post.

Do try to work on your comprehension abilities.

So you do agree that you were just throwing out a bitch and moan session, just so you could be noticed.
