I've always been treated well by the IRS. I keep good records and don't try and pull the assorted scams some 'experts' claim you can avoid taxes by doing.
10 audits; one I owed an extra $10, two they found they owed me money. The rest just routine and nothing.

Many idiots believe they can pretend their employees are 'sub-contractors n stuff' and avoid paying SS and other payroll taxes on them, info they get from crappy rags about 'starting your own business!' Those are the ones who hate the IRS and do most of the sniveling when they get caught.
