3.5 years is a lot of time in politics, and Trqmp's star is already fading.
Already most will not follow him down the rabbit hole of being reinstated by end of summer.
Some people who used to support him are laughing at him. If the primary were today... he would win. The primary is 3 years away.

So far Trump's post-presidency career has been failure after failure.

I don't count the Republicans sweeping the Insurrection under the rug because they are attempting to save their own asses, not Trump's ass.

IMO, Trump should start worrying about the militias attempting to even the score for his failure to pardon them. While security around Trump is government-secured, Junior and Ivanka are on their own.

This might be a twofer because I doubt Trump dealt with the militias himself; he would have had Junior, Rudy or some other WH staffer do it. The militias might see taking out Junior as justice.

I think many were surprised that the Republicans either let him get away with so much or that they were powerless to stop Trump.

The entire situation will be studied for years just as the JFK election was studied since both elections represent a paradigm shift. For JFK, television was the big difference. With Trump, the Internet. Specifically Twitter.

FWIW, around 1999-2000 my company decided to do an end run around "the unions" by selling employees Dell computers at cost plus supplying them with 3 years of free Internet (dial up which they monitored). The plan was to contact employees directly. What they didn't foresee was that with Internet access, employees in one major city would start talking to employees in the other major cities and comparing notes..or just discussing them.

In the end, the company gave up and stopped supporting the program. The Law of Unintended Consequences struck again. LOL

Personally I think it’s between Biden and a Trqmp like copycat.

I don’t thing Qrunp himself has a chance.

Obviously, the future is impossible to know, especially when it comes to length of life, but I see no reason for Biden not to be reelected, and to leave office in 2029. Harris is trying to solidify her experience to get elected after Biden, but who knows if that will happen. There are so many good potential candidates from the Democratic side.

trump is a problem for the Republicans. If he wants the nomination in 2024, and is still out of prison and alive, the nomination is his. he has little chance in the general election. Worse yet, he blocks anyone else from trying to the Republican nomination.
