Warren, Hirono, Klobuchar, Harris.
Every one of them would be excellent.
And not one of them could win .... Please please please pick one !

I wish more women would be able to run competitively in Republican primaries. The benefit to the country would be enormous, because (Sarah Palin not withstanding) on balance and on average, Republican women tend to be nominally more moderate that the mouth-breathing male contingent of the party.
The problem is Republican voters have not, do not, and will not for the foreseeable future make electing women and minorities a priority. Don't take my word for it. Look at the U.S. Congress, in which the GOP delegation is about 90 percent men, and about 95 percent white, give or take.
That right there tells you everything you need to know about the priorities of Republican voters.
You're welcome to quote him making that assertion.
I don't recall such assertion from him directly.
But I'm fully aware he's been called that by others, though I can't quote them at the moment.
Nikki Haley
I don't doubt Ambassador Haley's political ambition. She may opt to run as soon as 2020.
Let's wish her well.
I wish more women would be able to run competitively in Republican primaries.
prediction time......Trump will decide not to run in 2020, stating that he has accomplished what he set out to do......
I don't think Haley could win primaries in the southern states after she picked the wrong side on the flag issue.

Condi Rice isn't running.
So what women of color do republicans have?
Mia Love, the first black Republican woman EVER to be elected to Congress .. who make not survive her coming election?
Their bench is very very small.
Is Indian decent not of color?
This is a thread about a women of color running for the Presidency as a Republican and you're complaining about a lack of women of color?
Let's look at our state of California. Did you vote for Jerry Brown or Meg Whitman?
Look at our current Governor's race. You want more women and minorities and Democrats nominate privileged white guy Gavin Newsom?
There are many women who'd make excellent presidential candidates in 2020.
Every one of them is a Democrat, however.
There's a lack of good ethnic cuisine in the south.
Maybe Haley could open a nice Indian restaurant in Florence.
Let's put it to the test.
Ask any established black person or female on this board whether your political philosophy or my political philosophy is more in accordance with diversity, equality, and solidarity with historically underrepresented gender and race.
I actually am not interested in how you want to claissfy Nikki Haley. That is for her to decide. I have never heard her self-identify as a person of color, which typically is more strongly used by the Hispanic, black, and perhaps native American demographics in this country. I have had friends from India, Pakistan, Yemen, Lebanon, and I literally do not ever recall themselves self-identifying as people of color.

I doubt that is the case.

I said after George W. Bush I would never "fall for" another politician. I haven't so far and I won't. But I do like Nikki Haley.
And I Love love love this quote from her:
"'In our toxic political environment, I've heard some people in both parties describe their opponents as enemies or evil. In America, our political opponents are not evil. In South Sudan, where rape is routinely used as a weapon of war - that is evil. In Syria, where the dictator uses chemical weapons to murder innocent children - that is evil. In North Korea, where American student Otto Warmbier was tortured to death - that was evil.
"'In the last two years, I've seen true evil. We have some serious political differences here at home. But our opponents are not evil. They're just our opponents.'"

That's leadership and it has been sorely missing.
Haley's Facebook page flooded with criticism
I would LOVE to see her in the White House.
