I live in Thailand so have to pay for healthcare cover. I just don't think you'll ever have something like the NHS in America, and even if you did many would object to paying for it by Federal deductions from salaries for those in employment and earn more than the minimum wage. It would be nice to have a choice between private and public healthcare. You can't do that in the UK, if you pay for private healthcare, you can't opt out of paying NI.

More right wing revisionist history, and lies. Reagan, and Bush41, created the cartels, and drug gangs, back in the 80's right here in the US, and then deported them to Central America where they prospered, and persecuted, the peace loving Hondurans, etc. Then, like now with trump, they cut off financial aid to the countries, started wars, and virtually let all others hang out to dry. Now it is the right wing that supplies them with the most up to date weaponry that the US can manufacture just as they are doing to American cities like Chicago.
As to "illegals", under US law (something else for you to ignore) it matters not how an asylum seeker enters the country. Of course, the right has screwed that up to along with the children that they have taken from their parents. Under DACA, another legal operation that the right wing opposes, 40% of the recipients start their own businesses, 20% go to college, and only about 8% commit crimes. Far better then native born American citizens.
Could it be they actually appreciate what asses like you take for granted?
