Obama supported the CIA in their assessments-he gets credit for doing so- It does not diminish or expand the great job done in getting bin Laden. The work to nail his nasty ass began years ago and concluded yesterday-ALL INVOLVED get credit. Kudos to Obama for "staying the course"!

I'm glad to see that the wall between civilian and military intel groups has been removed. I always hated that. Being an analyst, when we got info late or not at all it made our jobs so much more difficult. Those laws were always so stupid.
It's quite telling that Pakistan was not informed. I am thinking that helicopter that crash landed was an attack by Pakistan (imo). The fact that bin Laden was just 35 miles north of the capital shows a complicity between the Pakistan government and AQ. I hope we stop all financial support immediately!

If we don't there is something more going on. This has the feel of the "NK" idiocy where we paid a government who turned around and sold the food we used as trade to buy the equipment to produce the very weapons we were paying them not to produce... We gave them slightly over 20 billion to gain support and they seem to be laughing. I'll wait until I see more to make a judgment on that though. There may be something that I don't see here.

Given the fact that he was a mere 800 yards away from Pakistan's Military Academy only adds to my conviction that the Pakistani government was complicit in helping him...it's nucking-futs that we are still giving them aid-3 billion just this year and 18 billion since 2003!
