Osama Bin Laden DEAD!

Yep, sure does. It says what I said, and not what you lied & said I said.

Thanks for bumping that...

you're still trying to fool people? why?

we had one President who said that getting OBL was his top priority, and one who said OBL was irrelevant. I'll let you figure out which is which, and then do the math...

it says exactly what i said it says...you're clearly contrasting the two, saying bush didn't care, figure out which is which and then do the math...you expressly telling people that bush didn't care about osama in contrast to obama having him as a top priority....really onceler....cut the bullshit for once in your life and come clean

You really can't read. I didn't do it "for no reason." I did it in response to Dixie & bravo, and their attempts (once again) to rewrite history.

You just have blinders on for the righties....

You didn't respond to the links I posted of the extensive protests by the left of the war in Afghanistan. You claimed liberals weren't opposed to Afghanistan, only Iraq, and I posted the links to prove that incorrect. It is you who wants to rewrite history, not me.

Where did you hear that? Do you have a cite? Do you have any evidence for this wild claim?
You mis understood the thread....he isn't referring to "this" issue..."this" being OBL's killing...

if you're talking about Damn Yankee's post.

Don't be an idgit. We've had long, long arguments about waterboarding and KSM. No one has ever denied that we used the technique on him and the extent of the intelligence thus gleaned. :palm:

Sorry I misseed that... I was unable to sleep last night so I am a bit off today.

I never said the left was not opposed to the war, I said I was not opposed to the war.

Some on the left were and some were not... Just like Republicans.

THat does not mean that this intelegence came from waterboarding or KSM. You are making a jump without any support.

Why is it okay for Trump to be proud of himself for forcing Obama to release his Birth Certificate, yet they are attacking President Obama for saying that he authorized this mission against Osama....

Also, I guess we now know what the more important stuff President Obama was working on was.

Oh, it was Rush and his callers I heard while at lunch.

Many on the left supported Afghanistan, and MOST on the left that I know or saw or read definitely supported going after OBL.

No one supported Iraq. You're trying to blend everything together to once again make a futile claim that Iraq was the right call. It wasn't.

Your Sec. of State and enough other prominent Democrats voted for the war....get over it already....the truth will set you free.....

Khalid Shaikh Mohammed has been a treasure to us.....the intell. pried out of him is immeasurably valuable.....

If we had a choice between having Khalid Shaikh Mohammed or OBL in custody....OBL would be a free man.....

This will definitely be a part of the story going forward...

As I said - a contrast presented in response to Dixie's contention (at that time) that the credit Obama deserved was for a continuation of Bush's policies. Bush said OBL was irrelevant - it is what it is. Obama said his capture was a top priority.

Frankly, that's what I wanted after 9/11, and I don't think I'm alone. I supported Afghanistan - which, btw, is the ONLY major military action I've supported in my lifetime, which includes actions under Carter, Reagan, Bush II & Clinton, and I have stated this many times - because they were harboring Bin Laden. I didn't know why we called off the pursuit at Tora Bora, and still don't. I don't know why we invaded Iraq, and still don't.

Osama Bin Laden orchestrated & financed 9/11. He was responsible for the worst attack on U.S. soil in my lifetime. To me, getting him couldn't have possibly been a higher priority, from day 1. Hearing Bush say he was irrelevant made me sick; I don't care if it was "psy ops", which I doubt. Someone will have to explain to me how that gave us any advantage whatsoever.

So you guys got nothing to support your claim that waterboarding led to this intelegence...!

Ugh, Republicans belive anything regardless of evidence... no wonder they were convenced President Obama was born in Africa.

and as the links I posted show you, many on the left DIDN'T support Afghanistan, DIDN'T give a shit about going after OBL, or even having a military presence in that particular area of the world. I have not even mentioned Iraq, other than to point out it was a part of the war on terror, and the threat to us was more intense from OBL's 'generals in the field' in Afghanistan and Iraq. You are the one trying to tie my comments to Bush's decision to take out Saddam Hussein, and I haven't said a word about that here.

If we had followed the policies suggested by the liberal left, we would have never killed OBL. From the aggressive interrogations at Gitmo, to the relentless pursuit of alQaeda wherever they were found. NONE of that was the result of LIBERALS... they stood in the fucking way the whole time.... now suddenly, they want to step up and poke their chests out and boast of this great feat! It's appalling to me in of itself, but then, to object and be told I am the one politicizing this... that just goes completely off the hinge.

The point is, regardless of what many on the left cared about, OBAMA did CARE, he cared enough to do it!

Not quite....Bush said both things at different times and put in context, both statement have merit....and as I've posted, even the far left mods. of the Huffington Post say even NOW....OBL is irrelevant....

Bin Laden's Death Is Irrelevant, From A Tactical Standpoint...that is true today as it was years ago....
But it is a propaganda and emotional victory for the US....and this is also true....

The links were posted by ID above, can you not find them now? The intelligence received from KSM (aka: Waterbaording Vicitm) was CRUCIAL in leading them to this compound, where OBL was killed. Hello? Earth to Jarhead? What do you mean there is no evidence to support the claim?
