It's not an ad hom. He's captain of a ship of fools. That's a fact. Taking the law into your own hands when you have multiple legal avenues to address and redress your grievances with the government isn't leadership. It's thuggary. Plain and simple.

Ammon and his father remind me of the character from the novel Catch-22. Major Major's father. Major Major's father made a living off of not growing wheat and became wealthy by teaching all the other farmers in his area how to not grow wheat. Major Major's father also believed that subsidies for anyone but farmers was creeping socialism. Sound familiar? Replace Farmer and wheat with Rancher and Federal Land and there you go! You got Ammon Bundy. Al Bundy's second cousin. LOL

their legal options had been all but removed due to the unlimited resources of the federal government. when you are david facing goliath, why the hell would you want to fight by the rules? you don't think that is just shit stupid?

I believe it because it is true and National Parks are a treasure for all Americans, not just for a few rich who want to exploit the natural resources.

so the founders vision of people being able to own their own property was just plain ignorant to you? do you believe that the federal government should be able to steal half of my property because I found gold or oil under it?

They own their own property, they just want more and like the Bundy's it was federal
property long before the Bundy's were even born or owned the land.

I think it is a good plan, the militia is self destructing, there is infighting, plus the community has had it with them. The media isn't reporting like they want, it is just a matter of time. If they cut water and power it would just give the militia more resolve.

No I don't. Particularly when it's a moocher who's exhausted his means because, well he's a moocher. I'd like to have someone subsidize my livelihood too but since I have to make it on my own that's not happening. You don't see me picking up a gun and having a snit over it. He's no hero. False equivalency. It's not Ammon Bundy's property. As for your property....if you don't own the subsoil rights to your land then you're the fool if you bought land to which you don't own those rights.

Pretty much. Let em sit out there in the middle of no where posturing. They may be annoying the locals and molesting a sheep or two but other than that they aint hurting anyone.
