Western liberal democracy always has the moral high ground over totalitarianism, fascism, and oligarchy.
That does not prevent us from being introspective about our flaws and crimes
Going to have to disagree here.
There's no shortages of Capitalist crimes, either.
The British Empire may have starved to death, 60 million in India, alone.
Millions more in Ireland, Persia & Germany during the Blockade during WW1.
That's about 65 million deaths, by starvation by Brits.
Add, another 20 million, in WW1, largely by Capitalist factions.
Add, another 20 million, since WW2, by the USA.
That's upwards of 105 million, killed by Capitalist regimes, by just 3 actions.
But, there's probably far more.
I tend to think some groups are just more volatile.
Germany in WW1 was a Capitalist Democracy, was gassing soldiers, and then in WW2 gassed Jews.
Was it really the switch to Totalitarianism, or that Germans are just more volatile?
Same with Russians, Russia under Putin, is far more Capitalist, than Krushev, or Gorbachev, but not much has changed, in terms of war, murder & mass murder.
As for Brits, they're the worst, and also the most Capitalist & Individualist ethnicity.
I mean, as much as 95% of mass murder tolls in Europe come from just 3 ethnics.
The British, Germans, and Russians, is this really a coincidence?
There seems to be a far stronger correlation, between military supremacy, and a subservient populace to mass murder.
Rather than Communism, or Totalitarianism, which if it plays a role, seems to be only minimal.
