One of the saddest legacies of 9/11 was Iraq.

As a result of 9/11 our nation sent 4000 plus to die in Iraq and killed countless Iraqis.

I hope the next time we face such a tragedy as 9/11 our government does not react the same way.

History will demonstrate that saddest and most tragic legacy was how easily the American people have been duped by it.

Duped into a war without end.

Wise words! But it doesn't have to be without end. The method of ending it should be clear to all clear thinking people. But if it is not ended relatively soon then the enemies of America will obtain the biggest possible weapon of mass destruction and will succeed in using it, or several, on a US city or cities.

To pretend bravado and that it can be defended against with more violence is a fool's game. Syria will be a part of that fool's game and largely because too many Americans don't see there as being any risk or any downside.

Only the American people can stop this war now. It's completely out of the hands of Russia and Syria. You should know why that's true by now at least.

dear idiot,

the weapons inspectors went and and secured that threat huh.

Then Bush lied about it to take us to war there.

No you asshole ,

they secured the threat huh?

then Bush kicked out the investigators and lied about it all huh

No they were being LIED to by Bush you fucking idiot.

that was their reward for trusting a republican president

So the top Democratic leadership were fooled by someone you repeatedly refer to as a "retard"?

Clearly then, they have no business being in positions of high responsibility.

Let me back up .. We/America did 9/11. We did it.

The so-called 'war on terror' is a fraud and this has absolutely nothing to do with the 'enemies of America' because the real enemies of America are to be found in the MIC.

If they can be so easily hoodwinked by someone you describe as "retard", then they're clearly not up to national leadership.

Speaking of which, this would mark the second time Hillary fell for men's lies. First it was Bill's BS about Monica, then WMDs.

Clearly she's way in over her head when it comes to trusting men. Do you think this disqualifies her?

LIES, LIES,....ALL LIES Are these the lies you're talking about desh ?

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country."
-- Al Gore (D), Sept. 23, 2002

“I am absolutely convinced that there are weapons…I saw evidence back in 1998 when we would see the inspectors being barred from gaining entry into a warehouse for three hours with trucks rolling up and then moving those trucks out.” —
Clinton’s (D) Secretary of Defense William Cohen in April of 2003

“Iraq does pose a serious threat to the stability of the Persian Gulf and we should organize an international coalition to eliminate his access to weapons of mass destruction. Iraq’s search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to completely deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power.”
— Al Gore (D), 2002

“We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction.”
— Bob Graham (D), December 2002

But but but but...but but but.....this is all BEFORE Bush was President

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."
--President Bill Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

"Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face."
--Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983."
--Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998

"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs."
Letter to President Clinton, signed by:
-- Democratic Senators Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and others, Oct. 9, 1998

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."
-Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998

"Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies."
-- Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999
