Omicron is brining down the hammer

Very true. I'm sorry that you both were so ill. How are you doing now?

Doing just fine. I think. I had a recent diagnosis of a heart murmur. Scared the shit out of me. No symptoms. Didn’t have one a year ago.

I was running hard this summer. Getting my heart rate to 150 or so. Runs of 5-10 miles in August. I read where murmurs can be caused by something like this. Finally get into the doc next week to look again. Could COVID have caused it? The hard running? My age (67)? Don’t know. Just want to get back into my running routine.

Brining down the hammer seems like a recipe for a rusty hammer.

I give it 6 weeks before it falls apart. :awesome:

Not sure why Omicron wants rusty hammers, but whatevs. :dunno:

Were you vaxxed when you got the crud? Hopefully it will turn out to be nothing but you're wise to have that checked out. Maybe an echo might be in order, just to make sure.

Been a shit fall.

Went on a mini-vacation in North Idaho. My hot springs. Severely sprained my ankle walking out on day 3. That ended the vacation.

Got close enough to civilization to call my wife when I found she had COVID. From the asymptotic grandkids.

Get home and, of course, I contracted it within a week. We were both out about 6 1/2 months from our original vax. She got monoclonal antibodies. I didn’t. Nobody hospitalized.

Now we’re both boostered. We’ll see what the doc has on the murmur.

Omicron is not very dangerous.

What it is is an excuse for why all the vaccinations and boosters don't work and Covid infections are spiking.

LMAO! The only thing you "run" for is to see if you welfare check is in at your front stoop. Mental midget.

Only pussies like Concart are panicking

I am not panicking. I'm celebrating. We're going to lock you stupid fucks down. I can't wait. Me? Heading for Universal this week, Minnesota for the holidays. And I'm retired and rich. So while you saps suffer from your self imposed and entirely avoidable lockdowns and financial difficulties, I'll be on a beach, collecting 10%.

Good luck. I'll keep you in my thoughts and wishes for good health.

It may or may not be "very dangerous." My concern is for people still working. Not many can afford to be off work for 2-3 weeks w/o pay if they should get it. Even if you're no more sick than with a cold, most employers won't let you return till 10-14 days have passed.

They just need to keep the unvaxxed idiots away from their responsible employees. I'm guessing a lot of workplaces are about to mandate the vaccine.

Shows how little you know. No surprise there. Have you been right about anything?

It is apparently about the same as having a cold. Are we really panicking about a variant that is essentially a cold? We need to stop the insane fearmongering.

This bug is getting around immunity very quickly and is getting younger and younger people all the time, this variant it looks like hits even little kids hard.

It is now almost certain that Geert Vanden Bossche was all the way right, and he is now predicting that this bug will in the end cause mass casualties, and that it will have only happened because our experts and political leadership turned up completely incompetent.

It is certainly time to be very concerned at the very least.

Buckle Up.

So I guess you are one of those pussies Expresslane talked about. What's your solution, genius?

The economic cost of the common cold is astronomical. This isn't about panic or fear mongering. It's about not paying the bill for the selfish behavior of the vaccine defiant. And not having them out infecting vaccinated people who will have to use up valuable health care resources. I have no interest in doing that. And this appears to be a common cold that is incredibly infectious. So they can choose to do whatever they want, but it is time to stop letting them infect the rest of us.

You moron you can infect people too. Protect yourself and let others live their life in freedom you socialist pig.

I think so as well. When it's already hard to find/retain employees, keeping them healthy and at the job is a priority.
