Oil Drops $30/Barrel In One Week Thanks To Biden

What's happening:
The unusually sharp pullback has been driven by hopes that Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates could boost oil production, and that demand from China could drop due to new coronavirus restrictions in major cities. This would ease the squeeze on the market.

But it's clear that investors remain unsettled as they process the effects of Russia's invasion. Russian oil is still being priced at a huge $26 discount to Brent.
And analysts believe the direction of travel has been set. Giovanni Staunovo, an analyst at UBS, expects oil to trade at $125 per barrel by the end of June. For his part, Tonhaugen of Rystad Energy thinks prices could still smash records as the conflict plays out.
"This is the quiet before the storm," he said.
The sell-off in Chinese stocks is getting deeper
Investors have been racing to dump stocks in Chinese companies as worries grow about the consequences of a crackdown from regulators and a spike in Omicron cases. Whether Beijing could provide support to Russia, and be punished by the West for doing so, is adding to the fear.
"There may be growing caution over the potential for secondary sanctions on China," TD Securities strategist Mitul Kotecha told clients.

It interesting that the experts explanation for the drop in global crude prices have nothing to do with Biden.

It's interesting and quite true. They have zero to do with Biden, with Putin, with Xi, with Marcon, etc. Oil is a commodity, just like corn and wheat, and traded on the futures markets. What happens when there is a glut of wheat? Price per bushel falls. What happens when there's a sudden surge in demand for corn? Prices rise. Ditto for oil.

now if Ukraine wins the war outright and inflation remains stable like it did last month......and then watching Rittenhouse's gun get shredded, mass suicide
They're saying that Putin's successor won't be much different. When they get tossed out of Ukraine, and have to give back Crimea and everything else they took, Russian oil profits should pay for the massive rebuilding that will need to be done.

I love when you throw their nonsense back into their faces when oil dips, and they have to admit that they lied about Biden.

crude goes up, crude goes down...right now it's going down rapidly..........so what?

what does any president have to do what the refiners charge you for gas anyway?

any idea of how this shits works?

feedstocks determine price, domestic produced feedstocks down price goes up, Why are domestic feedstocks down? BIDEN, BIDEN, BIDEN

yet oil prices increase when we move from domestically produced vs imports, funny how you leave that part out. Maybe you will catch on one day, I doubt it but you might

insignificant, lockdown?? business does not stop

Well duh. People didn't drive as much during lockdowns. This is from Gas Buddy.

COVID-19 DISRUPTS GAS PRICES

We saw gas prices being affected by the coronavirus as early as February, with prices fluctuating due to the uncertainty of COVID-19 in China.
March saw the full impact of COVID-19. Much of the United States went into a complete lockdown, causing gas prices to fall from $2.41/gal on March 1 to $1.97/gal on March 31, 2020. No one drove to work. No one drove to school. A truly unprecedented drop in gasoline demand occurred for the first time in our nation’s history.

They do not admit that. They can juggle lies and they are always in the air. They wrote about what a great stock market Trump caused. when it went down, it was not his fault. Then market trouble for Biden, it all his policies. Goes up, in spite of him. Same for gas prices. We are not dealing with thinking honest people. They want to win and as Trump showed, winning is done by lies and breaking laws.

Still waiting for you or anyone to say what Biden did to bring the price of oil down. What is taking you all so long?

And that's the problem. The only thing that matters in Washington is winning. We're nearing third world status with our crumbling infrastructure, but Manchin 'can't get there' because there is language re. climate change.

The mere fact that we need Manchin/Sinema illustrates the problem. Republicans won't vote for bills that directly benefit their constituents. Think about that for a second. They're representing the moneyed interests that aren't even constituents.

If ONE Republican would vote to extend the child tax credit for the babies in their districts/states, there would be no need for every Democrat. Without a thought, both sides of the aisle approve billions to go to Ukraine. I'm not saying we shouldn't spend to fight Putin.

I'm just amazed at the fiscal conservatives who never even had questions before approving the funds. Not a peep about deficits and their grandchildren.
