Oh Obama.... do you EVER think before you speak?

Obama is the President. He signed the bill into law. You are also ignoring the FACT that many DEMS also had a hand in watering it down. It is dishonest to claim otherwise. Yes, the Reps helped water it down. But so did the NY Dems and the Blue dog Dems.

Obama is the one who put Dodd Frank into law by signing it. If he wanted something stronger, he should have fought harder for it.

It was the DEMS who had a SUPER MAJORITY at the time, they could have pushed it through with whatever they wanted. But Obama/Reid/Pelosi couldn't keep their own party in tact for the vote.

So quit trying to solely blame the Reps. They were in the minority in both houses. The Dems could have rammed it through just as they did with the Obama care.

Just so you know, the Dems didn't have a supermajority in the Senate and needed at least one Republican vote to pass it.

So you admit your party lost Ted Kennedy's seat and then lost the 9th Distric in NYC that you held for 90 years. That is the Dem's fault. Thanks.

So you admit it was the repubs fault?

I admit they were certainly a part of the reason the bill was watered down. But so were the NY Dem reps, so were the Blue Dog Dems etc...

Not to mention the FACT that none of the idiots pushed to put Glass Steagall into place.

Not to mention the FACT that Obama as President can use the bully pulpit to try and alter the course of policy..... what exactly did Obama do?

Continually blaming the Reps no matter how much or little power they have is why a large portion of this country has no respect for Dem 'leadership'.

This is the perfect example. The Dems had a SuperMajority in the House, a President in the White House and were ONE vote shy of supermajority in the Senate. ALL that power.... and yet you blame the Reps because the Dems couldn't get the job done.

Bottom line, there is plenty of blame to go around.

Oh, for sure. The dems are totally innocent. The Dems didn't invent the KKK. The Dems didn't filibuster the Civil Rights Bill in 1964. The Dems didn't stand in the door of colleges to block Black kids from entering. Naw. It's the repubs who revise history. Yup.

You and your pals want to make this campaign about racism with your smears and race baiting and insulting American's because they attend Tea Party events, then go right ahead. We are ready and willing to lay it ALL out there. Go for it.

How many years ago did the Democrats do those things? So look at what regions supported the Democrats back then? So those same regions still support the Democrats? NO, the South has switched its support from the Democratic party to the Republican party. Interesting, aint it!

The same people who were supporting the Democrats when they invented the KKK, finibustered the Civil Rights Bill of 1964 and stood in the door of the University of Alabama are now REPUBLICANS!

This is a perfect example of a hack attack.
The GOP kept the banking system from being regulated properly and you started a thread blaming it on Obama.

What part did Barney Frank play in this? He's the banking queen.

Must suck being ignorant.

Frank wrote the bill that this thread is about.

Republicans insisted upon removing all provisions which would have protected the system, in the name of "free markets" (as if), and for the purpose of crony capitalism and graft, legal or otherwise.

1) The thread topic is that Obama was chastising the EU for 'not doing enough' when we in the US 'have not done enough'

2) The second part of the OP mocked Obama for doing #1, yet offering no ideas on what it is he thinks they need to do.... in other words, he was whining about the problem without providing any potential solutions

3) The GOP is not alone in deregulating the banks. It was done with the repeal of Glass Steagall.... under CLINTON, by a 90-2 Vote in the Senate.

You continue to ignore the FACT, that DEMOCRATS also lobbied to weaken Dodd Frank.... especially the NY Democrats who were protecting their Wall Street buddies. Why is it so hard for you to realize that neither party wants to cross the Wall Street donors?
