WB, I don't have any problem in the world with my tax dollars going to fund medical care for veterans, or to provide them with all the benefits we can afford. I think our men and women in uniform deserve everything we can give them, in terms of benefits and perks... but this is crazy! In Alabama, there are over 200 people making over $200k a year, working for the VA!
We've got a budget problem, and according to Obama, we're supposed to be having an "adult conversation" about what we cut and what we save, but it doesn't appear the left wants to have that "adult conversation" when it comes to the out of control Federal Employees Unions, and shit like this! To top it off, we have idiots like Yurt chiming in with... Aww, it's not all that much money... those salaries aren't too high! I think YURT must be HIGH if he thinks $200k a year isn't that high of a salary!
When I pulled this list up, of Federal Employees in Alabama, and ordered the list by Salary, I expected to see the Postmaster... FBI Director for Alabama.. maybe the Agricultural Director... TSA Administrators... things like that. I expected to see maybe a dozen or so, with top-level salaries for their top-level Federal positions... I didn't expect to see the list filled with "Medical Officers" for the VA! Now, it wouldn't bother me if it were half a dozen or even a dozen of them, making $200k a year, perhaps I could rationalize that... but over 200 people, making over $200k a year? How the hell can ANYONE not find that a bit excessive?
