Official Special MA Senate Election Thread

And i would like to go back to my prediction over a week ago that brown would win. NOW PRAISE ME

good job, you are a genius for figuring this out along with everyone else when polls showed brown 14 points ahead. What ever could have tipped you off?!?!?

I didn't say I ate it. I said they ate all of the squid stuffed squid that I made. I never said that I didn't have some uncooked squid left over...

Yes... Practicing that spinning... Practicing that spinning...

None of your funny word games will work here. I WANT SOME DELICIOUS SLIMY CEPHALOPOD!

Well, the last one did kinda suck (to put it mildly), so its hard to come off with a successful upgrade. She is hot, I'll admit, but I still have the edge.

your chick was hot and was no1

Now she's tired no2 and falling

you better get to work befor Soc takes his 40yr old Charlize pic down

I may be wrong, but I still belive its very likely we will still get health care. I hope I am right.

This win for Brown is a good thing for Obama in the long run. I belive it makes his reelection more likely. It will force him to be moderated and that will make his reelection more likely.

The Americans like devided government, and they like the underdog and they like antiestablishment. If Obama can appear to be fighting the establishment, (the Republicans) it will be easier for him to win reelection.

Obama would have to appear to be fighting himself. One is not "the Establishment" when in the minority.

Technically you are correct althoug one can appear to be fighting the establishment while the majority, check Clinton in 96.

After yesterday I am starting to belive it is highly possable the Republcians will be the majority after November, if they dont self destruct by choosing to many social conservatives.

IN case anyone is interested in who Brown won. The link shows the town by town map. Based on what I know about the state its a pretty wide sweeping demographic win. I can tell you the areas between worcester and Boston are generally the upper middle class and middle class working area that suffered the largest real estate bubble and pop. We are also the area that has been hit hardest by corporate layoff and paycuts.

Here is this election town by town

In '96 the Rs were not in the minority.

Eh, we'll see. They won't get the Senate. As for the House, anything is possible, but the Dems got a good wake-up call yesterday, if they heed it.
