He went back decades
Oh, I see.
Not only couldn't he find a comparable modern examples of a Democratic Senate nominee, he had to jump in a time machine and travel back decades to find someone who wasn't even a Senate nominee
He went back decades
Given those kind of problems, he would never be allowed to be a Democratic nominee for US Senate, and quite possibly run out of the party.
I feel if someone chickens out of a debate, the debate should be held anyway, with the one candidate who isn't chicken making themselves available for a Q and A.
I don't think Walker should debate. It would be cruel. He's not qualified to complete a sentence let alone debate anyone about anything but football.
alcee hastings...........nuff said. this is the bullshit why you can't be taken seriously
Hastings was also impeached by Democrats, so it’s a very bad example.Oh, I see.

So Republicans nominated a violent moron for the United States Senate, and are doggedly standing by him.
Herschel Walker‘s campaign was delivered two big surprises, Herschel‘s son‘s Christian Walker wrote on Twitter that his mom and himself had to move six times in six months due to threats of domestic violence from his dad.
There is also a woman who has come forward with receipts claiming she had an abortion in 2009 that Walker paid for her to have. Walker claims to be against abortion no exceptions.
It seems he’s cancelled his debate with Warnock as well.

In 1988, the Democratic-controlled United States House of Representatives took up the case, and Hastings was impeached for bribery and perjury by a vote of 413–3. He was then convicted on October 20, 1989, by the United States Senate, which, at the time, was also controlled by Democrats.

He didn't look very hard did he??
• Democratic National Committee Deputy Chairman Rep. Keith Ellison , D-Minn., was accused of domestic abuse by a former girlfriend in 2018.
• In 2009, Mr. Monserrate, at the time a Dem state senator, was convicted of domestic assault, and soon after he was expelled from office. In 2012, in a separate case, he pleaded guilty to misusing hundreds of thousands of dollars in public money and was sentenced to two years in prison.
• Sen. Troy Brown, D-Geismar, pleaded no contest twice over the past year to misdemeanor charges involving abuse against women. He served jail time last month.
Senators seeking to oust him say that conduct makes him unfit to be a senator, but Brown’s lawyer Jill Craft argues that he’s being denied the opportunity to properly defend himself and that senators’ disciplinary efforts go too far for misdemeanor crimes.
“It’s not a question of a misdemeanor. It is a question of beating women multiple times,” said Sen. Dan Claitor, R-Baton Rouge, sponsor of the expulsion effort.
You invented your own strawmwn version of the question
This is the question I asked.
Write down a list of modern examples (aka, don't time travel back five decades) of major Democratic nominees for US Senate or President who had serious and sustained allegations of violence and threats against a spouse or GF, and still continued to receive party support.
My question was Senate and presidential nominees. The filter and expectations for those kind of candidates is much higher.
There are enough sleazebags in this country that any number of them can sneak into the house of representatives, state legislatures, city councils, and school boards, and boy scout troops..
It’s says right in Tom‘s article: In 2009, Mr. Monserrate, at the time a Dem state senator, was convicted of domestic assault, and soon after he was expelled from office. You invented your own strawmwn version of the question
