LBJ got the Civil Rights Legislation through. That is a big deal that was not expected from him. He pushed through what Kennedy and the Left wanted. All presidents said one thing and did another with Vietnam.

Other than the Vietnam fiasco, he was an exceptional president. Vietnam aged him and I’m sure contributed to his early death.

He was an experienced politician who knew how to shepherd bills through Congress. I did not like his LTV connections and making himself rich.
