Obama's "Plan"

81 posts later and no one has provided us with President Obama's plan. It is funny how the plan supposedly exists, yet no liberal can find it and provide us with it.

79 posts later and still not one single person has provided us with President Obama's plan.

His plan is to run the US economy into the ground....overwhelm the government with socialist programs that can't be sustained....until the economy collapses.....as revealed by Glenn Beck from day one...

Obama is following the plan of Cloward & Piven, two professors at Columbia University. They outlined a plan to socialize America by overwhelming the system with government spending and entitlement demands.

So no matter what anyone says....THAT IS THE PLAN

Riiiight. And no one is sleeping on the street or beneath overpasses or in tents in the middle of cities.

(Excerpt) Within weeks, more than 150 people were living in tents big and small, barely a foot apart in a patch of dirt slated to be a parking lot for a campus of shelters Reno is building for its homeless population. Like many other cities, Reno has found itself with a "tent city" — an encampment of people who had nowhere else to go. (End)

(Excerpt) SACRAMENTO, CA (KGO) -- It is the sad reality of a California city hit hard by foreclosures and huge job losses. In the shadow of downtown Sacramento, tent cities have sprung up, housing as many as 1,200 people. (End)

(Excerpt) Tammy Day, who has recently become homeless, sits outside of her tent at a homeless tent city on March 5, 2009 in Sacramento, California. Sacramento's tent city is seeing an increase in population as the economy worsens with more people becoming unemployed and having their homes slip into foreclosure. (End)

I wonder what Tammy had for dinner the day that photo was taken.

Let's take a look a the Canada, who Apple sees as a Utopia.

•It has been estimated that one-third of Canada's homeless population are youth. On any given night, that means close to 65,000 young people are without a place to call home.
http://www.shelterhouse.on.ca/article/youth-homelessness-147.asp

Approximately 86% of homeless individuals suffer from either substance addiction or serious mental health issues. For homeless women in Canada the numbers tell a shocking story. 84.5% of homeless women in Canada are reported to suffer from at least 1 debilitating mental illness. 33% have difficulty with mobility, a lost limb or some other serious physical handicap.

There's much more, if you are honest and choose to address your own contries problems.

Ok.

And they are all eligible for food stamps. Not only that, there are inner city missions, charities, churches, etc, that provide free meals for everyone. Try again.

Try again? Maybe look at the picture and explain how she is supposed to get to the missions, charities and churches. Do you see any bus stops in the picture? Or, maybe, trek into town every night and return hoping her tent and meager belongings are still there when she returns?

A mission meal and good tent. What else can an American citizen possibly want?

As Bernie Sanders stated in Congress who gives a damn if seniors have to pay an extra $500.00 or $1,000.00 for medical care when the people representing them spend that much on a dinner.

Maybe if decent social programs were in place, programs that helped people before their lives fall apart, there would be fewer people dependent on welfare.

When is Bernie (the Socialist) Sanders gonna present a bill in Congress to cut the PAY, BENEFITS, and outrageous RETIREMENT package he and his pals have voted for themselves in the past 100 years....
Soon ?........I think not.....Bernie is just like Teddie( the killer )Kennedy, he would rather use other peoples money.....

And it sounds like Apple don't like the social programs put in place by his party....are you writing your Congressman Apple ?

But then, it is more then what Canada has to offer.

In Canada, hunger is largely a hidden problem. Many Canadians are simply not aware that large numbers of children, women and men in this country often go to bed hungry.

The author did get one thing right. (Excerpt) Reagan wanted to dramatically cut taxes in order to starve the government. (End)

That's exactly what Bush and his pals tried to do. Recall Rummy saying the war with Iraq was an option they could afford? Of course they could afford it because they planned on dropping (privatizing) SS along with cutting other government benefits.

Can't afford to house the homeless or feed the poor but can afford a war. Deliberately waste money that could have helped American citizens. Is that the definition of patriot?

Hey, I'm the last person to say Canada has it all worked out. And, no, I dd not vote for Harper even though the Liberals were accused of passing money in a brown paper bag in a particular restaurant. (Actually, my father-in-law took us to that restaurant. Nice place.) ;)

As for "84.5% of homeless women in Canada are reported to suffer from at least 1 debilitating mental illness" you won't get any argument from me. As one casually quipped, "I know I'm missing a gene or two."

As I've explained before my involvement in US politics stems from two concerns. First, I have friends and family in the US and, second, the US leads the free world and plays a dominant role which affects all of us. As a side note, during my formative years (15 - 17) I would party hardy in NY State, it being but a few miles from where I lived.

Ah, those were the days. I crossed the border so often the US Customs Officer would just look out his window and wave me through.

Anyway, back to the discussion. Anyone who claims the US OR Canada OR any other industrialized country can not look after it's ill and poor is full of crap. It's as simple as that and if "we" want to talk about spreading our "ideals" worldwide we better start getting some decent ideals and that includes looking after the less fortunate.

because they planned on dropping (privatizing) SS along with cutting other government benefits.

First of all, no one has ever planned on "dropping" social security. There have been ideas to partially privatize it, since we already know it will become insolvent. See, we can do that now, and SS will be around for generations to come, or we can go with the Democrat plan to ignore the problem, and eventually we'll have to scrap SS entirely. Of course, when we get to that point, Democrats will be screaming, no...nooo... can't we come up with a plan to save it? But it will be too late to come up with a plan then, we won't be able to afford to support it, and SS will go bye-bye forever. So this is one of those life lessons in the making for pinheads, and eventually they will realize it would have been much better to have taken action while we could, to save the program for the future. But for now, they are going to twist and distort the rational and reasonable plan from Republicans, to try and scare old people into thinking we want to push them off a cliff.

Then you probably should be taking all your time and energy and using it to fix your own problems, before you choose to try and fix ours; because you have tried to use Canada as an example of how the US is wrong in it's approach.

If taxes were raised on the wealthy then the wealthy, including Bernie, would pay more taxes. Pay with his own money. What is confusing here?

Come back and preach to us, when everyones lifestyle in Canada is exactly the same.
Until then, you're just another person wanting to spounge off everyone else.

Just cut his pay and benefits and he'll be paying the same amount of taxes as you do..... What is confusing here?

Why overpay the socialist asshole and complain he don't pay enough in taxes.....?

But the program can be saved. it's absurd to even suggest the richest country in the world can not look after it's elderly.

Others have posted the tax rates the wealthy used to pay before the cuts and even before that. The rates have continually fallen over the decades and now they see a problem in the future. What do you think the solution is considering we know what is leading to the potential problem?
