I will condemn any religious violence when I see it; as an Atheist, I'm impartial. But not all religious violence is comparable in its in scope and severity. In the 21st Century, Islam is by far the worse.

How do you destroy or neuter a religion without taking into account the people who practice it? Communists tried it with religion in Russia, including death and persecution of the clergy, and all it did was force the religions underground.
