Obamas Education proposal.. dont let this scam slip under our noses

I always know that when I click on a button and I see it's something Chap said, I'm in for a load of ignorant bullshit.

By ignorant bullshit do you mean questioning unknowns that are being rammed down our throats in yet another govt take over of an entire industry. Should we not question how this will cut tens of thousands of jobs not to mention nobody seems to know if the expansion of the fed lending will have any conditions different then the DTC loans did?

Should we just bury our head in the sand and never question anything? thats your party's opinion?

Just what is the expansion? Will a couple making 200k a year qualify for the same amount and rate they could get with the DTC private loans?

I'm not sure you even have to qualify. I think it's just like the old loan program, from the article I read. 2/3 of loans were already being handled this way, and I think it was the colleges choice to handle it directly with the federal government or go through subsidized college loan providers. You would probably already be dealing directly with the government anyway.

This doesn't have anything to do with the Stafford program, which has strict requirements.

I actually worked for FMD for a while so I understand its a difference. What I am concerned about is once this is inhouse govt style will anyone regardless of what there income needs are be able to fund 100% of the college loan needs via the federal loan system. If the answer is no or I dont know then its already a problem.

I agree it would be absurd to limit qualifications for getting one, even for people making 200k a year. Tuition is so high these days that swallowing it would be difficult for basically anyone who isn't making a million a year.
